God damnit, not another browser war thread. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NERDS SO OBSESSED WITH WHAT BROWSER YOU USE????? Who honestly gives a shit about browser market share? Seriously, WHO CARES??

Blurredvision is correct. Use whatever you like. Hell, I sometimes prefer lynx.

Y'all need some perspective: http://xkcd.com/198/

I tried FireFox... it was ok, not bad. I still use IE generally. I used Opera and liked it too. I guess I don't get what the big deal is of using one browser over the other.

And the performance tests, I just don't get them. When I click on a link, it's just there... nearly instantly regardless of the browser. The performance tests are comparing the milliseconds it takes to open a page. Who cares? And what's this about resources? 70MB-120MB of resources used? Is everyone but me using 256MB of system ram? I lose 15x more ram then that difference from just using a 32bit OS vs. a 64bit OS. I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch over 15MB (in IE's favor by the way, according to that test) more system memory usage between browser A vs. browser B.

I dumped IE7, skipped right over FF, and proceeded to Opera...haven't looked back yet. Love the browser and its quick response and easy of use

Yeah, the not so much faster browser, but wait, none of my favorite add-ons....

FAIL!

FF3 FTW

Fast, powerful, expandable.

Your looking at it from a purely browsing the web point of view.

For many power users, IE and Opera don't have nearly the amount of tools or capabilities they get from Firefox.

(not to mention FF3 being blazing fast)

(yes opera is faster, but then again, it has less stuff in it, so... FAIL)

I use IE7. Used FF once upon a time, but then they updated it and I had to reDL all my plug-in's (which were nice but not req'd) so I went back to IE. I experience no problems so there's nothing to fix.

Redid a roomates comptuer, it's already full of virii... i think he needs FF3 NoScript

No one is talking about browser market share other than the OP. Why do you click on, and post in, threads you don't care about? Why do you get so worked up over nothing?

I clicked and posted in this thread because I'm tried of the nerd fights over browsers. It's retarded.
