Idiot House Republicans voting to defund ACORN, that's right ACORN

Really? Funny, I seem to recall most of the democrats in congress voting to authorize those excursions as well. Starting worldwide collapse? That would be the result of a whole lot of things, the D's are just as much to blame as the R's. Barney "Freddie and Fannie are just fine!" Frank and his minions played a nice role. Regardless, you still need to have a budget of some sort, unless you simply don't care about the concept of budgeting and just want to squander aimlessly.

You blame the democrats when Republicans had complete control and veto power? Hilarious!

No one is blaming Democrats anymore than Republican for those decisions. PokerGuy was just pointing out that Democrats were complicit which doesn't earn them a free pass.

As far as budgets go, the Democrats haven't earned any brownie points there as well. Republicans have at least made an effort. But I know, its meaningless because they are Republicans. Heard it all before.

Something tells me you aren't up to date on those budgets.

The fact that you are able to reference them as budgets tells me I'm right about the effort part. Democrats on the other hand can't even come up with something to reference.

I guess a more accurate way to put it would be to say that he Republican controlled House has made and effort while the Democrat controlled Senate has not. Seeing is how Obama has at least made an effort and I commend him on that.

So the Republicans shit in you left hand, and the Democrats do nothing in your right hand...and you *thank* the Republicans for their "effort"?

and the right wonders why it's so maligned...

This is factually false. The Senate passed a budget fairly recently. When the Democrats attempted to create a conference committee to reconcile the House and Senate budgets, Republicans filibustered it.

You are right, they passed a budget by a 50-49 margin.

But then you question it getting filibustered?

Who thanked anyone? Please stop putting words in my keyboard.

Who said anything about questioning? You said the Republicans made an effort and the Democrats didn't. Not only did the Democrats pass a budget, but the Republicans are the ones who are blocking the budget resolution from going forward. So things are the exact opposite of what you were claiming.

You're not questing the filibustering by republicans? Then why bring it up if you are ok with it?

So when Repubs were passing budgets in the house and the Dems in the Senate weren't employing the same tactics it was different then? Oh right, it wasn't a filibuster, they just didn't even bother bringing it to the floor.

But now its different because Democrats passed the budget and Republicans are the ones stopping it? Gotcha.

No, I've made it very clear that I view these budgets as utterly meaningless documents. You apparently believe otherwise, however.

Since you apparently care about these budgets, I figured you would like to take this opportunity to condemn Republicans for their inexcusable behavior in obstructing such an important resolution from going forward. Am I correct in this?

The only time lefties/progs worry about wasting money is when it's being spent on something they don't agree with. Otherwise, the sky's the limit!

You're such a hack.

OP is one of the biggest hacks here. Could he troll anymore with his OP? He is an idiot and an inbred leftist.

Acorn is not dead, the vermin just scattered to other places under new names to continue their misdeeds. No taxpayer dollars should be used to fund their activities, no matter what name they operate under.

Good thing at least one part of government actually tries to work on a budget, the senate and white house apparently don't feel the need to bother with pesky budgets or anything. No wonder we're 16 trillion in debt.

Agree. The problem with these groups is they never shut down and always come back in other forms.

You confuse "budget" with Teahadist fantasy...

And here comes the resident leftist moron. Why do you call the Tea Party "teahadist" but can't say radical Islamist? You are a hypocrite.

That's Mr. Hack to you skippy

And to waste time defunding a non-existant organization is idiotic

That's one way to spin it.

That 'framework' would be the regular order budget conference committee, just like any other budget. You don't really buy that spin, do you?

What spin? That Ryan and Murray have been discussing a framework for the reconciliation process and havent come to a workable agreement? You can call it whatever you want. But like anything in DC, it takes two to tango.

When did I ever say or even indicate that. I have been merely talking about making an effort to make a budget and said nothing about the validity of those budgets.

I don't care about the budgets (documents) per se but rather lawmakers doing their job in attempting to address the issue. Inexcusable behavior? Important resolution? Jeeze, with terms like that who couldn't agree with you.

You realize that to proceed with regular order, which is precisely what Republicans have been asking for, no prearranged agreements are necessary, right? The Democrats put forth a motion to create a conference committee by the terms of regular order, the Republicans filibustered it, despite the fact that it was exactly what they asked for. Now they demand that any conference be based on the idea of zero new tax revenues. Translation: they were never serious to begin with. Surely you've realized that by now.

The real reason of course is that the Republicans are worried about the conference's failure (which is certain) and the resulting motions to instruct that Democratic House members could start making after a few weeks.

When did I ever say or even indicate that. I have been merely talking about making an effort to make a budget and said nothing about the validity of those budgets.

So you don't care about them, but want people to make an effort to make something you don't care about. Even in doing so, you were wrong on the facts.

It was sarcasm. Since you attacked the Democrats for not making an effort to have a budget (falsely), now I await your attack on Republicans for filibustering it.

So you admit you're a hack.

acorn is gone but they split up and reformed into other groups. That's why they should be defunded.

I admit nothing but you will address me formally junior.

ACORN did nothing wrong and that was proven but its not enough for you people. I guess we all know those dark skinned people must have been up to something.

BTW - If hack is defined as backing up your statments with fact as opposed to foaming at the mouth rambling non-sequiturs, I'll accept that definition.

You admitted you were a hack though.

acorn or any other group shouldn't be getting tax dollars. I will ignore your race baiting.

blah, blah, blah

You're whining about the lack of a budget. Focus on the present. We can argue all day about who is at fault the last couple of years but the current facts are both the House and Senate have passed a budget. Now the only group holding up the process is the Senate Republicans because they don't trust each other and therefore won't agree to name folks to a reconciliation committee. Its really quite funny to watch. The newer Tea Party backed members are the ones holding up the process now.
