Are you against the death penalty for a human killing a human? I find it really sad when a dog's life becomes more valuable than human life.

Generally, I think PETA are a bunch of tree-huggin' hippies. But I love it when they go after morons like that guy. Hopefully, they'll be all over him soon.

This is such a touchy subject to address. What about cattle? Are those covered under this law? I think it is unthinkable to cause intentional pain or injury to an animal, but for a law to be drafted on this subject there would be too many loopholes for it to be effective, such as which animals are covered under the law, would the manner of death be of issue in determining the sentence? Oh and also don't forget that for thousands of years all human beings killed animals on a daily basis as part of their food supply, sometimes brutally.

/Edit I forgot what I was going to say: I would probably beat the crap outta this guy with something like piano wire, it causes plenty of damage as a whip, and when I got tire of that I think I would send him to play fetch with my dog.

but if you ask me, it should be based on what the animal meant to the person... i think many people love their pets like family, so imo, this should be punishable by death. but that is just my opinion.

Than your opinion is idiotic, it was a damn dog. No animal I don't care what kind is worth a human life. The guy might not be right in the head, but you don?t kill a person for killing an animal. If you would kill a person for killing a dog you?re crazier than the dog killer.

Maybe he was Korean and he was throwing off the roof to tenderize it. ;)

You could import this to korea where they would pay good money to eat it lol. Ah the money is good. In china, laos, thailand, cambodia, and phillipine too where dogs are raised as farm animal and they love to eat them just like chicken cows pigs here. hehe to each his own.

If some arsehole killed MY dog I would FLIPOUT...and would not be responsable for my actions.

But he wouldn't be picking up my dog in the first place. First of all his not small, and secondly he HATES to be picked up. Doesn't even like ME to do THAT.

Ok we're not talking about throwing cattle out of a window here. We're talking about throwing someone's PET. Have you ever owned a pet? Most who have, love them as dear as their family members. Thus, throwing someone's pet out a frickin window is the same as throwing one of their family members. It has the same effect on the person. Therefore should be punishable the same to the offender.

I don't give a rats ass if somebody eats dogs in another country. That's their business. If they loved cows and chickens as pets over there, and someone threw their little chicken out the window, I would feel no differently about that than this situation. Cattle is cattle, yes - but a pet is a pet, too. It's just so sickeningly twisted that someone would throw another's pet out the window. WTF? I don't care what the situation was, there is no excuse for that. The situation could conceivably have been resolved, but the dog's life will never be returned, and his presence will never be replaced in the other dude's life.

If someone loves a pet as much as they love a family member they should have some psychiatric counseling or get out more. I would be a little more upset if someone threw my sister out the window than the dog. I?ll put it another way, if I were starving and was stuck on an Island with my sister and a dog we would be eating dog not me and the dog dining on my sister. If you really think a dog is as important as a human is I feel sorry for you.

i agree. this guy deserves to either get life or death penalty not because he killed an animal, but because he killed an animal for no good reason, out of anger, and a desire to create pain. such a person should not be in our society.
Very well said.

I can't believe how some people act these days. They use absolutely no common sense and have no regard for other people/animals. If this argument had happened 30 years ago, do you think he would have killed the dog? NO. he would have exercised restraint. it seems like anything goes in today's society, and it makes me sick. :disgust:

some of you guys have never owned pets ^_^

I've had lots of pets, but I still have common sense. Some people here seem to think of their pets as life partners or children not pets.

I would have beaten the guy to death. I can handle it when people beat me but to throw a helpless animal that wasn't involded off of a 23rd floor balacony is animal abuse.

Most people who said that people who think of pets as human have never owned a pet.

How low the value of human life has sunk. Do you actually think if someone kills a human being and he gets the death penalty, it's because he made the other family members feel bad?! I dont think so. I dont wanna turn this thread into a death penalty flamefest, but seriously, get a grip. It's a sick, twisted thing he did, but he didnt kill a human being. If you wanna equate your life to a dogs life, thats fine, just dont go around advocating death for someone who kills a dog.

I put people ahead of animals each time, but killing an animal because of an argument shows that the person in question has no regard for the well-being and suffering of other creatuers. He should go to jail. Not really for killing the dog, but for being such an asshole (as demonstrated by his actions)

I didnt realize we put all assholes in jail, just for being assholes. I agree that this guy is an evil, sick, twisted fsck, but we dont put all of those in jail either.

But you still think he should go to jail don't you? What kind of punishment do you think he should get?

some of us choose to love pets instead of life partners or children and we are equaly devoted to the pets.

delibrately killing someones pet can inflict as much pain on the person who loves a pet as the loss of a child for the person who is a parent.
