Ichiro to Yankees

He's gotten old and his hitting has suffered lately but maybe this will give him a spark. I hope he succeeds more than the yanks as a team. Easily a future hall of famer.

Being a local, I have watched and still watch many Mariners games and marveled at his skills in his prime, those days are long behind him. It is very sad to watch him flounder around out there now and his hitting is rough to watch as well. I have been a big fan of his over the years, but he needs to retire, Mother Nature cannot be denied.

He's past his prime. Hoping he still have some left in the tank to help the Yankees as a one season rental.

lol @ past his prime, maybe, doesn't change the fact he's one of the most reliable players ever with amazing stats to back it up.. IMO good pick up.

His OBP is only .288 this year compare with his career of .366. Hope he does get better for the rest of the season.

🙁 sad to see. One of the greatest ever, and I can only think of one man ever being a greater lead-off man than Ichiro.

Another soul is lost to the giant wurm.

Past his prime or not, he is still playing better than a large majority of players in the MLB.

No he isn't, not this year. And not last year as well. In fact, his offense as an OF has been pretty much bottom of the barrel.

Stil, I fully expect him to rise to the occasion with the Yanks, as apparently they do as well.
