ICE To Refuses Processing Of Illegal Immigrants From Arizona

John Morton (the head of ICE) saying that ICE will not process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona.

The federal government refusing to do its job and enforce its own laws?

Hey, if the idiots in DC won't enforce the law, that's their problem, AZ will hand them over to ICE and they will no longer be AZ's problem.

I live in AZ. I am willing to divert some of our tax money to AZ buying one way bus tickets to L.A. for illegals.

Breaking news.
Will post one when one pops up on the net.

if ICE is truly saying that then mrs janet numbuts needs to be immediately fired.

also its interesting that something comes out while the scumbag president of Mehiko is spouting off his shit.

This is getting fvckin ridicilious...Obama is going to have a full scale riot on his hands if he continues to keep his head in the sand....Isnt' the number of Americans who support AZ over 70% now?

What does a country do when it's leaders decide, on their own with no court process, to stop enforcing laws they pick and choose?

And where do you think ICE will let them go? I am guessing if it is the Phoenix office it will be Phoenix. So in the end it will be Arizonas problem once again.

I found this...

Echoing comments by President Barack Obama and others in the administration, Morton said that Arizona's new law targeting illegal immigration is not "good government." The law makes it a crime to be in the state illegally and requires police to check suspects for immigration paperwork.

Morton said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona officials. The best way to reduce illegal immigration is through a comprehensive federal approach, not a patchwork of state laws, he said.

"I don't think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution," Morton said.

Patranus, what was the reason that ICE stated they wouldn't take illegals turned over to them by Arizona?

That this needs to be dealt with on a national level through reform instead of enforcing current laws.

Sounds like the Obama administration is simply going to make the immigration problem worse and then use that as an excuse to push through "reform".

AKA ""Never let a serious crisis go to waste."

Already there is a big difference between "may not necessarily" and absolutely will not accept the duty of processing AZ referrals.

Here is the story that lead up to todays story

So this story (which was several days ago) states that he is against enforcing existing federal law because Arizona is enforcing existing federal law.

Why would he ever say "may not"? The answer since that is his job is to say "we will".

This govt run by Obama is turning into a god damned circus.

Yep, another misleading headline from Patranus as usual... 🙄
However much I dislike the Arizona law, it is still the law there and illegals caught by it should still be processed by ICE and deported.

I changed it to be more accurate BUT the new news today is that they are actively looking into it (and this has been confirmed by ICE).

Since when is treating a criminal like a criminal a bad thing?

He's complaining that the Arizona law makes it a crime to be in the country illegally. Isn't that already a crime? Aren't there already federal laws about that?
