More ICE bullshit because they're trying to meet their ridiculous quotas, and don't give two shits about following any process or who is hurt. Anyone working for ICE (unless they're deliberately sabatoging things), looking to apply for a job with them (unless they're doing it to gum up the works), or thinks that working for ICE is somehow cool should have bad things happen to them.

Crazy how the two states mentioned in there have changed, I've seen plenty of confederate flags flying in southern Wisconsin.

I much prefer the framing seen on a local civil war monument that explicitly calls it the "war of the rebellion".

Alligator Alcatraz hits a little bump in that a judge said to shut it all down and dismantle parts. Of course an appeal has already also been filed.

"Miami district court judge Kathleen Williams said state and federal authorities broke numerous environmental laws..." Nevermind the people violations that were occurring. Oh, well, if environment issues are easier to go after than anything else, I'll take it.

The defendants say that federal laws don't apply "because the jail was set up, managed and operated by the state of Florida, using taxpayers’ money." Judge replied “The project was requested by the federal government; built with a promise of full federal funding; constructed in compliance with Ice standards; staffed by deputized Ice task force officers acting under color of federal authority and at the direction and supervision of Ice officials.”

“[It] exists for the sole purpose of detaining and deporting those subject to federal immigration enforcement. Detainees are brought onto the site by federal agents and deported from the site by federal agents on federally owned aircraft. The court will adhere to the time-tested adage: ‘if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, then it’s a duck’.”

I hope her breakdown of the situation prevails. If it does I can certainly envision Trump not repaying that taxpayer money and us FL residents will wind up footing the bill. :(:mad:

Not all 55M are currently here. I'd have to think vast majority of those are tourist visas which can go for up to 10 years.

This is another nothing-burger being promoted so the ignorant can have a ridiculous # to quote and bitch about immigrants.
