The whole vague "enforcing the law" talking point is also pretty common too, intentionally vague to ignore the fact the ICE and DHS are violating the constitution and other laws while doing it. If that's pointed out then they fall back on blaming Biden and saying it wouldn't have to be this way if we didn't have open borders.

Additionally, CBP is not legally (in normal times) allowed to operate beyond the 100 mile region along the border. So those CBP agents that killed Pretti were operating outside their statutory mandate.

It was a random tweet I saw earlier when I first saw the video while taking a crap. I don't know how accurate it was or anything but it had more detail than "they were arguing and a fight broke out" like the link provide.

The story was that the dude stopped and yelled some racist shit to the crowd, and the girl kicked his car, and then he got out to confront her and all hell broke loose.

No clue if it's true or not just what I read.

EDIT:

Not even sure if this is the same tweet I saw earlier, but here is that being reported.

i still haven't seen any proof of this alleged kicking of the magatards truck, i hope it escaped serious injury though, i hear they are really susceptible to damage from being kicked by small girls....

2300 left to go.
I wish the press would ask more useful questions like

Isn't a judicial warrant required before breaking into a citizens house or car?
Why is filming ICE agents characterized as interfering
What does an illegal alien look like?
What is the penalty for interfering with the operation of their bodycams they said will be used in MN?

No, not at all.

The only thing ICE is allowed to legally do is enforce immigration law.

They are not allowed to enforce any other laws.
They legally cannot arrest you for violating non immigration laws. If one saw you doing graffiti or dealing drugs, they do not have the power to arrest you. Furthermore, they cannot be used for things like crowd control.

That is why this whole situation is messed up. We have Federal immigration police enforcing laws they are not allowed to enforce. And in most cases they are not even enforcing immigration law correctly. They must have a signed warrant to arrest an undocumented immigrant, but instead they are just arresting anyone they please without a warrant. It's a massive overstep of power by the Trump administration.
So another possibly silly question but doesn't that mean that anyone "arrested" by ICE for non immigration things will just get off if it goes to court as due process wasn't followed?

Yeah I can hardly imagine a more relevant reason to escalate a conflict than seeing an adult male punching a female child. That may be sexist or something, but seeing it throws me straight into fight mode. I'd stand on jury nullification against anyone that ended that fight until they walked or it was called by the judge.
Is there any place in the USA where it is not legal to use deadly force to stop an assault on another person if you reasonably believe that the person is in imminent danger of death or serious injury?

I would hope that even the worst grand jury would throw a case like that out.

On the plus side the pathetic child assaulting loser in Tx was found and arrested. Hopefully they throw the book at him. I hope his wife divorces the piece of shit. They were in the car together when he stopped the car in the middle of the intersection to assault children.

Those who survive likely will not get tried with anything since they have broken no laws but they might get sent to a concentration camp and perish there.

Yes. U.S. citizens have been arrested by ICE and detained and are then released after their citizenship is verified. Additionally, legal protesters are being arrested and detained for 24 hours and then released because there is no probable cause or legal reason to hold them. Judges have also ordered the release of some undocumented people that are arrested without a warrant.

But what is disturbing again about this whole situation, (setting aside the obvious disturbing moral and ethical questions about arresting someone who is undocumented), is the following:
  1. ICE agents are actively arresting people based on the color of the skin, assuming that skin color is an indicator of someone being undocumented. In many cases these individuals this has led to citizens being arrested.

  2. U.S. citizens are not required to carry proof of citizenship with them, yet ICE is aggressively approaching people demanding to see their proof of citizenship a-la Nazi Germany "let me see your papers."

  3. ICE is illegally collecting information about U.S. citizens who lawfully observe ICE activity. It is a constitutional right of all Americans to film and document law enforcement activity so long as they do not interfere with operations. ICE has been seen photographing and collecting information about these legal observers and keeping a "domestic terrorist" database of who is observing ICE activity. Sometimes ICE will show up later at the homes of these legal observers and harass and intimidate those people. In some cases, ICE agents have threatened to kill law-abiding legal observers who follow and document their actions.

  4. (From my last comment) ICE agents are enforcing laws (or claiming to enforce laws) that they are not legally authorized to enforce.

  5. (From my last comment) ICE agents are arresting legal citizens.

  6. ICE agents are allegedly abusing those who are detained. The detention facilities are inadequately resourced. Detainees must remain standing up in complete darkness and must take turns sleeping. Detainees are not allowed to meet with their lawyers privately (constitutional right), and are not allowed to contact their family to let them know where they are. There have been further reports that ICE agents are stealing the personal property of detainees (phones, cash, wallets, clothing). Also reports that detainees are being sexually abused and not given access to medical treatment. Detainees in Minneapolis have been released in the middle of the night without jacket/hats/gloves/phone into frigid winter temperatures up to -20f (-29c). Protesters have set up 24/7 observations outside of the detention facilities to provide jackets, rides, and phone calls to those who are released.

The problem is they don't listen to the courts half the time. Hence why a DOJ lawyer broke down in court yesterday and said the system sucked and then asked to be held in contempt so she could go get some sleep. The question she was asked?

Why does ICE constantly ignore court orders?

Because this nation has been lawless, as of Jan 20th, 2025.

This also leaves off the fact that people have been dying in ICE detention (this goes back to before this administration, of course).
