I am currently wearing a pair of pants I haven't wore since freshman year of high school. I fit into them now better than I did then.

Bumpage reminder for December pics!!!

I'll have to do mine after work today. I haven't weighed myself since the end of October so I have no idea where I'm at. I have been doing sit-ups regularly and I see big improvement in my abdominal muscles. My biceps actually have some substance to them now

I'm still working out (except for my sickness for a couple of weeks). Personal bests for the weights come regularly. My stomach is getting flatter, but my muscles just don't show up that well in the photos.

I would like to take a protein supplement. Do you have any suggestions? Low cost and a halfway decent taste would be preferred. I have heard some about whey protein. Would that be a good option? I would simply like to add a bit more bulk to my muscles than I am getting with my current plans.

I've been avoiding this thread for a while. I think the contest busted within the first month or two. I think we're down to two regular posting contestants, dullard and nitewulf who have both made great progress so far.

Maybe instead of an actual contest, I'll start a new thread solely based on picture progress of our members. Current success stories can share what worked, and interested people can start a story of their own, posting pictures or updates whenever they want.

Dullard, possibly look into Muscle Milk. The cost is a little high, but you're getting more then just a protein powder. If you drink 2 scoops of it with a cup of milk twice a day you are getting almost 900 calories as well as plenty of good proteins and carbs. Massnutrition.com has the 5 pound tubs for $38, or the 2.5 pound tubs for $19. You could also get the collegiate version for $26 for the large tub.

Thanks for coming in. I was wondering what was the progress for the contestants. The contest was a great idea, but lifestyle changes like this are quite difficult to stick to. I know, I tried this similar workout a couple years back and failed after half a year. What really helped me this time was having my GF around to push me forward. On some days that I want to just relax, she makes me workout with her. On days when she wants to relax, I make her workout with me. The buddy system is quite powerful. But, having a contest with pictures and updates online was also a good motivation for me.

If you don't mind then, since the contest appears busted, I will drastically cut back on my updates. I will keep up the workout and I will still keep posting here. But, I think I'll limit it to simply having my pictures posted ROUGHLY on the 1st of the month, and the graphical workout picture posted a few times a month. Typing the updates every week was a bit time consuming.

If you do want me to continue through Jan 1st, I will. Just let me know in this thread.

Could you recommend something that doesn't include drinking with milk? I know whey comes from milk, but I can digest whey. Milk on the other hand can upset my irratable bowel. I don't want to drink all that and just (painfully) watch it go right out of me.

well i'll post my recent updates.

not sure how much i weigh now but i'm over 200lbs, which is good.

I was getting stuck on my bench press doing 255lbs x 6x for a few weeks in a row, so I decided to change my incline to doing barbell instead of dumbell (also cause im doing the 85lb dumbells 3 sets of 8-10 and thats as high as they go), and i've been doing incline bench for 3 weeks now. i just did 225lbs x 5 last thursday and I also ALMOST did 255lbs on the flatbench 8x, had help on my last one, so i'm gaining some strength there as well. my decline bench I did 245lbs x 6x or so on my last set so that is going up too.

i did 85lbs x 6x, 2 sets in a row on my shoulder dumbell presses last week so i'm seeing improvement there as well. my upright rows I did 145lbs x 6x last week on my last set so thats going up too.

curling i did 125lbs on the straight bar 5x last week, hoping I'll do it 6x this week.

triceps i'm close grip benching 195lbs now which has steadiliy been going uop.

back I still am not doing dealifts as I'm worried my back will get hurt again.

i'm doing the sled machine for my legs now, dont know the name of it (the one that simulates a squat on the sled but you actually push your body up w/the weights on it, at a 45 degree angle). I started doing those since every other leg excercise (squats or leg presses) are hurting my lower back, but this one seems to feel fine when I do it and it actually feels really good. i'm doing 3 plates on each side currently but I expect to go up quickly since i've only been doing my legs again now for 3 weeks.

You can take the muscle milk fine with water as well.

I have been updating my journal on WBB on average four times per week (no less than 3/week) since mid July (87 posts so far). During the first few months, I checked in on the other contestant's journals on a regular basis and realized most everyone else was going weeks or months between updating their journals and figured the contest was a bust. My main goals aren't about aesthetics, so I figured if the contest was over, there was no benefit to me to take the time and effort to post pictures. I can post pictures at the end of the month if anyone cares.

Final pics are up

Ending weight: 200lbs/91kg Goal met!

Ending pants size: 34W or less--Girlfriend bought me a pair of 34W last month that are almost too big for me! Goal was 33W, which I may have met, but I haven't been shopping for pants. I may update over the next week or so.

Ending bicep size: 14in/35.5cm--This is an overall loss of 1in/2.5cm, but the number doesn't concern me. My biceps are visibly stronger and I can lift more for longer. I won't say if I met the goal I had in mind. I'm happy with how big my arms are and I'm not done with them
