I am getting second thoughts about the 900D, it might be a little too big and too much for my needs. My reasoning for getting it is to keep it around for atleast 8 years or so and flexibility for future builds.

I still have a day or 2 to change the case, should I change? I dont see myself buillding a full water cooled system, yet. Only the CPU cooler is a closed loop Crosair.

It's a lot of case, and PC's are becoming more and more power efficient over time. Unless you're packing a TON of hardware and lots of radiators I think it's a waste of space and money.

What about the 450D? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...042&cm_re=corsair_450d-_-11-139-042-_-Product

Mid-tower....I just dont want to go back to mid tower, its too cramped.

A full tower is fine, even a reasonable ultra tower is good (size and weight).

What about the Phantom?

Or something from Thermaltake?

I am getting so confused and double minded here...should I just go for the 900D anyway.

HELP!?

Is my preferred set up on cases myself, I've had my old Antec 1200 set up that way for years on air, but the fans have all been modded awhile now.

But is just typical I guess, or should be these days.

Fan direction makes zero sense.

Makes perfect sense with that cooler. RAM clearance issues prevent mounting otherwise. Not the best, but dissipates heat..

most of them point up and don't have a choice, mounting bracket and all. I would prefer mine point towards the back but...

also, if he looks, he'll find he CAN mount it the other way even with the RAM. I have yet to meet a cooler that doesn't have clearance for the RAM. Mine is wide, like in that photo, and covers the RAM slots, but does so with about 2cm of clearance

Not always.. With LGA 1366 and tall ram, I also cannot mount my cooler properly. I have to raise my fan above the cooler 3/4" to clear my ram.
