i had a similar experience....except i learned never to position your computer under one of those sprinkler things on the ceiling at your local office.....

OK, so how many of us have never fried a component playing around with it, spilling our beverage on it, etc.

AS said many times over in this thread, the guy needs beat. His girl needs help.

I have three computers at the house running right now, if my wife or son or daughter or neighbor lady messed them up, I would be upset. But there is never an excuse for the type of abuse like that.

One thing I have learned about being married, if you are not nice to your wife, even when she breaks your stuff, you end up with no clean underwear.

I think I have a good analogy -- actually happened to me and my wife.

My wife was driving home at night. She saw a dark oject in the road at the last minute and decided to strattle it. Unfortunately it was a piece of metal about 10 in. high. After a new transmission, etc. and a lowering of the bank acount by $2400 everything's back to normal.

So should my wife have known better? I don't know, but I'm sure she thought she did the best she could at the time.

Wait -- I'm not done. About a year ago my wife was driving the same car when the throttle stuck about half-way on. She pulled off the road, slammed on the brakes and tried to force it into "park". She didn't think about turning the key off 1st. Same result, -- another transmission.

Well, she should have known better, right? I know I would have gotten the car straight and level and turned off the ignition.

BTW, We're still married and at least she wasn't crying because I yelled at her.

Moral to the story? You can't prepare for most of the things that go wrong in your life.

Nick Stone, congratulations on your betrothal to the Tranny Killer Mk.8! Available at better high schools nationwide!! 😀

women and transmissions don't mix... my g/f thought hers was going out because she was doing like 4k RPM at 30mph... after 30 min of freeway driving she stopped and called a mechanic... obviously she had been driving in D3/D2...

the husband was a lamer! instead of think this as a bad thing, think of it as an opportunity for a UPGRADE!

you should never hurt the feeling of someone who's trying to help you!

I feel worse for your friend's wife. Its not like she killed the family pet. So she ruined a computer? She was trying to help and though that is a mindlessly dumb thing to do its only a mistake.

Man your friend is a jerk.

The poor woman was just trying to do him a favor and it was a stupid mistake. He shouldn't have abused her like that.

It's the equivalent of him trying to be a nice husband and doing the laundry for her and accidentally throwing into the color wash her nice white silk Gucci shirt. How would he like it if she called him a d!ck for doing that?

The next nice thing she should do for him involves a nice home cooked meal and a bottle of castor oil. Maybe a day sitting on the bog hole will sweeten his personality.

Personally, I think that both of these people need some sort of help.

The man(and I hesitate to describe him as such) obviously needs to get his priorities straight. Screaming and cussing at your wife is rarely the correct response to *any* incident.

The woman needs to learn some basic safety, i.e. don't spray something onto a piece of electrical equipment that's plugged in. Perhaps it was a simple oversight and a mistake, but she certainly needs to pay more attention in the future.
This couple needs counseling, at the very least.

knock knock House keeping!!
Sorry, I shouldn't joke about it, his wife is more important. Go have make up sex or something because I'm sure she is very sorry. Besides, she was only trying to help with something that was important to him.

<< How would he like it if she called him a d!ck for doing that? >>

And if she made him cry...now that would be funny!😀

I don't know if this is the best way but when I get pissed off at my wife I'll get real quiet and refuse to talk to her until I've calmed down or resolved whatever problem she caused. Like the reason why she got a new car last year.....
If my wife did that to my computer I'd probably go somewhere until I calmed down.
