I won't be giving another penny to the salvation army.

Link to where the salvation army refuses to aid non-Christians?

Also, I assume you will no longer be eating at In-n-Out and Chick Fil A?

Are you also aware that it isn't a real army?
You mean they do not have a militant wing? I thought they were the American Taliban!

Also don't donate to food banks, as they might decide to feed them there Jesus-loving folk.

Quit school too, since some of them are in your class!!!

Your neighborhood? They're ALL AROUND YOU! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I find it strange that you now refuse to contribute to a group that is religious that you used to contribute to each Christmas.

Each Christmas I give around $100 to the salvation army, today I found out they are a religious charity. I now feel retarded for giving them all of that money. I will need to check all of the other charities I give too, to make sure non of them have any religious affiliation.

This has got to be one of the most asinine little rants I have ever heard.
Hate thread/Fail

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

We stopped giving to them years ago. We had donated an old couch to them. Clean and blemish free aside from a small tear in the arm. Easily fixable. They refused to take it because of that. Items for donation had to be in mint condition. If it was for poor people, what difference does it make? Do they seriously want me to go to the Ethan Allen? We ended up giving it to a local church youth group who was more than glad to have it.

I know the Sally Anne has a lot of dedicated volunteers. I'm just suspicious of the organization as a whole. They never do say where exactly the donations go. Especially the huge sums of money they pull in. How much of that goes to their church I wonder. Five will get you ten it's a lot more than most can imagine.

you don't have to be christian to appreciate or celebrate christmas. it's not a very christian holiday at all, especially these days

I used to give money to the Church of Latter Day Saints until I learned they aren't actually saints at all.

That's nothng. I used to give my entire yearly salary to the Westboro Baptist Church until I learned that they spent very little time in Westboro!

Don't get me started. I donated money to help build the Crystal Cathedral. Imagine how pissed I was when I learned it's only made of glass!
