:)

The whole process didn't take very long. I would say about 7-8months for entire process ?
I will have the interview on monday and if all goes well I'll be sworn in later that day.

No more waiting in long ass lines when coming back into the US when traveling abroad :)

YAY!

**UPDATE**

The whole process summed up.

Got there around 8:45 am.
waited about 2.5 hours
had my interview which was like 5 minutes.
Waited another 1.5 hours
Took the oath and got sworn in 10min watched some G W. Bush flick welcoming us.
Got out of there :p

I will never want to go through something like that again. Not the citizenship part.. but the waiting.

Meh, I'll just live here, neither citizen nor illegal. Something in between. TAKE THAT, SOCIETY!

You are still citizen of your home country.

Don't they have different dates for interview and the swear in?

From what I understand NJ does it the same day as the interview. At least that's how it was with my friends that had it done couple years ago.

I am not entirely sure about that, citizenship of my home country may or may not have expired 5 years ago  Well I was a kid when I left so I don't know much about that whole process. I do have a document that basically says I can stay as long as I want to and am eligible to work, I have SSN as well.

Just be careful when they ask at the interview what your biggest weakness is, it's a trick question.

Er... citizenship of the country you were born in usually doesn't "EXPIRE". Unless they threw you out. Or the country no longer exists.

Ah ok, so it must be my country's Passport that will be expired.
