I did a name change.
How does this affect my credit report ?

I think the name change automatically gets updated once you update all your accounts (bank, credit card, etc).

Nice.

I gotta change my Drivers License tomorrow
Submit my SSN name change tomorrow
Change name on the bank account + cc's :p

lots of work... but I think overall it'll be worth it.

why is the passport so expensive though :p

I think the most difficulty I had was updating my Paypal account :p

edit: Now you can visit the motherland without being stopped at the airport and put into the army. HEH

I already had that taken care of :). Myun Juk or whatever it's called from the Korean Consulate. So I didn't have to serve when I went out to visit several years ago.
They did hassle me a little though when I was trying to leave for the US.
The passport checker saw the special stamp I had in my passport but still called the supervisor anyway. The supervisor ended up apologizing since he saw the special stamp and sorta scolded the passport checker.

Congratulations on becoming American. You have displayed that you now know more about your adoptive country than a discouragingly large number of it's natives and were deemed worthy of citizenship :D

Congrats!

I just got a passport for the first time in my life. ;)

How was that? I still have to think about getting a passport.

Congrats OP!

I went to the post office with my application, took a pic there, participated in a quick questionnaire then waited about 3 months (maybe it was longer). Very easy except for the wait (I think you can get it quicker if you pay an extra fee for expedited process).

Ours took about a month. Just got our passports last week.
