soldiers actually have a duty NOT to follow "unlawful orders"

the excuse(and yes, that is what it is) "well i was just folowing orders" is no excuse. just more of the moderen american penchant to make personal responsibility passe'

So the military culture would accept the whistleblower? They should have told on the order givers immediately, right?

WHAT THE FVCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?
A soldier has a duty to refuse an order that is unlawful. You will get automatically coutrmarshalled, but that will be thrown out as you disobeyed an order against geneva convenctions

Im sick of dumbasses calling everyone "Whitleblowers" because they have the courage to stand up against something that they feel is wrong. There were NO GODDAMN WHISTLEBLOWERS involved in this at any point, there were only people who CONDUCTED ACTS THAT ARE MORALLY WRONG.

You might be welcome to stroke your arrogance.. but answer this question
Did they give him an order to abuse the prisoners OR did he have knoledge of the abuses and then do something about it?
