Coincidentally, I was just thinking that kids who lose their Teeth should keep them in a jar. Later on in College that Tooth Fairy money could buy some precious Beer.

OP, your faith is as deep as the single layer of parchment upon which God's secretary, Mabel of Nazareth, transcribed the Bible from the sacred cassettes as she played them back on the Holy Dictaphone.

For yea, technology was different in Biblical times, and far cruder. Cars got less than 30 miles per gallon, and people worshiped the false god of AOL dial-up. There were no electric knives brandished at Thanksgiving. Indeed, there was no Thanksgiving . . . or electricity.

Fear not, though, OP, for by posting this faux-philosophical drivel you have proven your faith.

It will serve you well in prison, where you shall shortly find yourself, for it was either Jesus or his Swedish buddy Olaf who said, "Forgive me, O Lord, for I did not know she was but 13."

I have a question, Malak, if say 30 unknown people got together today and wrote a new Bible, what would you think? Say an extension on the original, a New New testament?

Hundreds and thousands of authors already do that. I look upon their works the same as the ones in the bible.

That is an excellent question. However the entrance to the maze that holds the answer is not found here.

He believes that answers are important. In reality the questions most often are the thing which provide the spice. It is a sad mockery of intellectualism.

I believe that a quest for answers is important. Actually finding them is usually disappointing. Asking the right questions helps us evaluate our beliefs or theories, trying to come up with answers, the search for the answers is how we evaluate the questions properly.

How do you know you have any answers at all?

There can be many logical conclusions to every question. Evidence can be deceiving though.

Which is why you have to logically bealuate every conclusion to find the most logical, least contradictrary one. Which is why I ask for you to explain your conclusions so that I can asses the for my self to dertmine whether my own conclusions are right wrong or if I need further inquiry.

This is one of many possibilities.

Saturn's moon Titan appears to have fluvial processes at work on its terrain, though there, it's because of liquid ethane and methane. Water is more like silicon rocks are on Earth. So it looks like we're all getting relocated after the apocalypse - at least there are no seas there with liquid water in them. I hope everyone likes orange overcast skies. :)

On the other hand, the atmosphere there is so dense that, coupled with the lower gravity, you could strap on a set of wings and start flying.

(Hey, this makes at least as much sense as any of this other stuff. The only difference is that this is being written now, and not a few thousand years ago.)

Everyone knows this :D

He had me going until he feigned ignorance with my use of pronouns. It's still a possibility to learn things and still troll, which is akin to an art. :)

He's no idiot.

Ignoring others for a moment, it is difficult to ask questions about that which does not conform. If one did have questions about the local culture of the day, the bible would be most revealing as on how and why they felt and spoke about water. Note that this is a completely non religious in nature. Ahh well it's not prudent to cast pearls before swine ;)

In the bible it says at the end of this world, when it is replaced, there will be no tears and the sea will be removed. Also death and destruction will be removed. Aside from images of mummies roaming the earth, this made me think about water's impact on life. Typically looked upon as necessary to life, water is also the most destructive force and responsible for shaping and reshaping the world.

Water has been important and yet God plans on getting rid of it... quite curious.
