I was pretty good with my diet for a good while (two maybe three weeks) but today I borke down and had

1 pepperoni pizza slice, one ground beef taco and one chicken taco with corn tortillas plus guac and sour cream, spanish rice and black beans.

it felt soooo good :D

Now I go back to my routine :(; haha.

It's ok to have a day where you scale back the diet a bit once in a while. Moderation seems to be the key.

Allowing yourself to indulge here and there once a week is not bad. :)

I can't avoid going to McD or Subway at least once a week!

I had pizza yesterday and still met my protein and calorie goal. The rest of the day was mostly protein only sources to make up for it, but still.

Meh, 1 slice of pizza isn't over indulgence. It's good that you are strict on your diet, but if you are being that strict on yourself because any deviance seems like failure it might show a weakness not in your diet but in your exercise.

we all eat shit sometimes. I love the thought of eating bad food, but funny enough I feel terrible afterwards no matter how small or large a portion I have. Im not talking about feeling guilty, im talking about my body feeling like shit. The only time I feel good mentally and physically is when I eat good nutritional foods. I still dont understand when I get cravings for crap food even though I know i feel like crap after eating it. :\

I had 1690 calories in animal crackers two nights ago, a completely fresh box. It was awesome.

I had a burger, fries, two sodas, and ice cream yesterday. But then again I am not on a diet.

Well, yesterday I really did it.

Double Quarter Pounder with fries and a regular coke for lunch, and a footlong Subway chicken sandwich at night!

I've had two liters of water since, one at night and one today. And today I've eaten very healthy. Nothing wrong with that. :) Just that I won't ever eat a DQP again! I felt extremely bloated after... that was very unpleasant. That, and it felt extremely salty. The chicken grilled sandwich from McDonalds just feels better, tastes better and is in another league when it comes to health.

Heh, thats nothing. I can't do the fast food thing, but I can eat a large pizza by myself or drink a 12 pack without even thinking about it. Just don't make it to often and you'll be fine.

One crappy meal each week is infinitely better then snacks, pop, or a small fast food stop every single day.

When i was with my gf a few weeks ago, we BOTH ate two bigmacs, double cheeseburger, large fry, and a large Coke. That was a total of 4 BM's, 2 double cheeseburgers, 2 large fries, and 2 large cokes between the both of us.....I love her :D. Oh and we're both just barely over the midrange of our BMI scales. We have wicked metabolisms and we still eat anything --->eats 2,800 colories a day with no exercise and 4,000 caloris a day with lots of exercise.

It happens to the best of us they key is to forget it and move on. It is when you worry to much about it that you fail especially if you eat for comfort. For me cheating would lead to guilt which would lead to more cheating till it snowballed out of control to the point where I would quit. Now if I cheat I forget it and move on like nothing happened no guilt what so ever.

I think it's better psychologically to include a cheat meal into your diet. I know a lot of people disagree with this idea, but for me, it just makes the whole process easier.

Yeah. We can't all be all calorie nazis, right? :) I wouldn't have it everyday though... 2 times a week at most I think is OK.

That's closer to my definition of a cheat meal. It's not the same for everyone though. You should see the 'cheat meals' thread on bb.com. Makes me jealous :p

Anyways, for my cheat meals, I usually eat healthy food until I'm full, without regard for my calorie limits :p I only allow myself the real good stuff (steak, ice cream) once a month. I put sushi in the weekly cheat meal category. And just say no to chinese/viet/thai food. They will KILL you, not just your diet :)

Steak and Sushi are cheat foods for you? I consider them staples.
