You can never beat what simple long distance running does for a body. You'll lose so much fat just by running / jogging. Do that and drink lots of water, simple cure to fat people but they never get it right. Also you might want to try lifting semi-light weights for ALOT of repitions... this tones your muscles and burns the fat.

Like wreck your knees? :D Running is great...but I am a firm believer in cutting back calories as the main force behind weight loss; afterall that's how you got chubby in the first place. A healthy male can easily cut back 1000 calories a day below maintenance requirements and still be healthy while keeping metabolism strong and that equates to two pounds of fat a week (definitely a good idea to be weight lifting during this to minimize/negate muscle atrophy).

yes, exactly, I weigh too much to run long distances. I used to run 3 miles a day, and after a week my ankles were so messed up. It doesnt help that I have flat feet either

*sigh* I wish I could do that.. but blew out my left knee a few years back.. I can't even walk for long distances sometimes cause it feels like my knee is locking up :(

You probably dont want to do it much more than that. Dont want to hurt yourself and your muscles need plenty of time to heal.

it's actually better to have an offset workout schedule...that way, you can work out more, and not run the risk of overtraining, which causes injuries. such a schedule would include a 3-day rotation, followed by 1 day of resting. so it could look like

M: back+triceps, T: chest+biceps, W: shoulders+legs, Th: rest....repeat

<< Spring break is coming up and I would like to look pretty decent without my shirt on. Is there anything that I can do to loose the fat. I am doing about 30 minutes on my exercise bike 3 times a week(I'm gonna try to do it 6 times a week) and I'm gonna start cutting back my sugar intake too. Anything else. >>

Yep, switch to diet soda, significantly cut-back on fast food and other carbohydrate rich-foods, eat lean protein like tuna (watch the mayo). If you do those things + 30 [hard] minutes on your exercise bike 5 times a week the pounds will fall off.
