yeah, i don't get it.
my mac works. does real well. i wouldn't want to do any harm to it. thats just silly.
you know, i use to have a shuttle that i used as a lan box a few years ago, had two 7800gt's in sli, and when it ran, it ran great. sometimes, just to get it to boot, i would have to pull a ram module. i hated that little box. any changes too it i would have to tinker with it and massage it to get it to work right. when it ran, it did fine, but keeping it running was fun.
i think back about that then i hear all these so called pc enthusiast/gamers berating apple products, which i find funny. maybe it's a jealousy thing, i don't know.
i never have a problem with my mac, either one of them, and i use them for quite a lot of things, and i even run vista 64 so i can game, because windows IS great for gaming.
when it comes to production, though, i rely on my mac because it fails to fail when it comes down to it. i've built my own computers forever and always used windows based machines, now all i can think of when it comes to a windows box is gaming.
when i think of my mac, i think about how stable it is, and how it runs 100% of any software i want to run, and i never have to mess with the registry, or do anything else to keep it running.

either, a lot of people are uninformed, or... just ignorant. i could care less for the advertising aspect of it all, i just go for what will work and what i can trust.
hardware is hardware, regardless of who it is made by. my asus made macbook pro works just fine. my desktop, as well.
my bet is the OP has a dell.
