I want a new pen.

This thread has made all of my previous writing feel inadequate. On that note, I haven't looked through all of the suggestions yet, but I'm feeling the Embassy. It's a similar look to a knife I used to own and loved, but not enough to not lose it. I'm going to buy myself a new pen though, now that I've read this thread. Thanks OP!
 
You must have a lot of money to spend $150-$200 on a single pen...

I'll stick with the cheap pens I just steal from random counters and get from businesses.
 
My favorite pen right now is the Pilot v5 RT. It's made in Japan. It's a roller ball not a ball point so the ink is smooth and very fluid.

The ink feeder is clear so you can see how much ink you have left. Refills are cheap.

So I finally decided upon a pen rom Conklin; American made by an American company. It's just a ball point, but it had the best combination of weight, looks, and smooth wwriting (along with price as t cost ~$110):

I tried to join TFNN to talk to the custom pen guy, but apparently it's some sort of weird secret society that does not allow people in, so they would not let me join. 😀

Anyway, so far I'm liking it quite a bit; thanks for all of the suggestions!

Has a sweet stamp/engraving of the company logo on the top. Very solid feel and writes well, plus the orange part is kind of trippy when you turn it. I had 3 pens on the short list, but this one had the perfect combination of everything.

Considered getting the rollerball, but it was a bit too long; the ball point was just the right length.

Anyway, not that exciting, but thought I should post what I finally ended up going with.

I like orange. If I had a favourite colour, orange would come close to being that colour. Not sure why; I have all kinds of orange running gear and stuff, just one of those things I guess. :hmm:

Plus this way I'll always know it's mine since everyone else hates orange. 😀
