One that won't make me sick.

I am looking to buy a decent quality pen, something solid and not too thin like some of the namy-pamby metal ones I see around. Sick of toying around with crappy disposables and the refillable one I am using right now that I got as gift kind of stinks.

Looking to spend ~$150 and probably no more than $200 unless suggests a particularly awesome one. Anyone have any suggestions? :hmm:

To be perfectly honest, KT, I can't imagine you writing with anything less:

Sorry, got called into a meeting right after I posted.

I think I prefer ink; ballpoint is kind of weak.

That feather pen is lovely, but I bet it would get mangy quite quickly. D:

That looks not bad.

I hear the Embassy pen is pretty good:

Lower than your price range though.

Looks maybe a bit too industrial for me. Does it still write if you're upside down? :hmm:

Maybe, but Ilike the smaller tipped ones, not the super fat fountains. The Mont Blancs are fugly. D: Some of the ones on the levenger site look ok, even some fo the ballpoint/roller balls. :hmm:

I prefer Cross, their lifetime warranty is nice, but their "processing fee" sucks.

i have had a few cross pens (my father would give me one every few years when he gets new ones) and i never liked them. though my dad just loved them.

last nice pen i had was a gift. it was rather cheap at only $49 or so but wish i could remember the brand. i loved it.

Yeah I don't HAVE to pay that much, it's just what I expected to pay. If I can find a great one for less that is more than ok, so please recommend.

Anyone use a rollerball? They any better than a ball point? Some decent looking roller balls on the Cross site.

I've only had cheap rollerballs, but I don't care for them. They write too fast, and don't seem as reliable.

That first one is really weird; interesting though. I'll search around for the others.

Hmm, good to know, thanks.

When you said Ink, I thought you wanted fountain pen. Have a look at Giftvalues.com

The Lamy is a rollerball which is in between a fountain and a ball pen. the clip retracts so you get into the habit of retracting the tip when you are not using it or it will roll off the table :p
