I want a FreeBSD Daemon Icon...

just a random thought since I saw this Tux icon but there is no daemon. how would I go about submitting a pic for it or how would I get that started.

the lower left caricture is the secure bsd deamon, i she reminds me of my gf, seen in the other parts of the page. she's the only reason i'm trying to get secure bsd to run on my system. . . heh
 
soo, its won't be a waste of time unless it requires a ton of trouble to get it to burn or play dvd's or surf the web
 
now now, it isn't that hard to get cd's to burn just get a easy to use frontend for cdrecord, I will concede on the DVD watching side but as far as the web, you don't even need to install X to do that as I end up using w3m (awesome console browser) quite a bit. But X and the newest nightly build of Mozilla isn't that hard to get working at all.
 
a good bit, i am not a developer or anything but I have about 3 boxes running it all the time, mostly FreeBSD and OpenBSD. Its my OS of choice.

 
really? have you ever gotten any to work on a system with a highpoint udma 66 controller? the 366 chipset? .. .i think we're gonna hafta talk some more . . . its nice to find some one who knows bsd
 
hmmm, as far as I know the highpoint controller has been supported in FreeBSD from 4.0 and I think it was recently merged into OpenBSD in 2.6, and it is supported in NetBSD 1.42. Shouldn't be too bad to get working I would recommend trying out FreeBSD 4.2.
 
hmm will be as soon as i can figure out how to burn an iso from windows 2000, also are the iso's from linuxiso.com usually good to use?
 
i checked freebsd.org, and if you can tell me where to find a slic idiot proof link right to that iso. . . . . .. . . . . you're a better man than i am...
 
hmmm ill hafta check into that later, and if you want that bsd icon, drop into forum issues, creat a thread asking zuni, and if you can find the icon artist guy, get together a collection of bsd images to give him, and I'll proudly switch to that from my snake. .. especially if the artist guy does one of the secure image, if you need to find that, pm me and ill make up a zip of the secure daemon, . .. i wouldn't mind prancin around in her pants. ..

I can't find the thread in Forum Issues where it was discussed, but someone already requested it, so I made a FreeBSD devil icon and asked the owner of its copyright whether I could submit it to Zuni. He was very nice about it but still said "no." 🙁 Too bad, because it would have been really cool.
 
Go for it, I'll need a link to the one you like, and the email addy of the copyright owner so I can clear it to Zuni's satisfaction.

Still waiting for the Lion and Lioness icons to get added or else rejected, BTW, and they were sent in a week before Christmas. toolgirl, you have my official sanction to start hounding Zuni for them 😉😉😉

this is where the pic is located go to the guys front page to find out more, if you scroll down the page there is the secure bsd mim file, thats what i'm thinking of, maybe just the head or something. .. . its kinda suggestive, but i'm sure if you get approval for the head it'll be enough for a nice icon
 
WELL WHAT DOES EVEERY ONE ELSE THINK, IF MECHBGON COULD MAKE IT ,AND GET PERMISION FOR A SECURE BSD ICON, CAN WE ASK ZUNI TO USE IT???
