I want a corvette

I have a 94 black Corvette convertible A4 with the LT1, an 86 TransAM 5spd with a HO 305, and a 99 Camaro Z28 A4 with the LS1. To tell you the truth, I like the Z28 more. It's quicker and you can really feel the torque. I'm thinking of selling the C4 to get a nice used C5.

If you like the torque of that Z28, you should look at 1985-1991 Vettes. L98 engine = 360 ft./lb of torque.

To the OP: When you say a Corvette, you're going to have to narrow it down a bit. You're talking about a car with at least 6 different iterations (Depending on how you count, you can get that number over 30 pretty easy), covering a span of 50+ years and a current selling price range of $175,000.

My personal recommendation on a budget is a C4, preferably in the 92-94 range. 95 and 96 owners are still typically asking too much. 1991 is an oddball year, but a good one. New body style and new interior with old engine. Lots of good deals to be had on those.

The later body style C4 still looks modern enough to turn heads, and can be had in the under $12k range, in good to great shape.
