A few months ago a friend wanted to sell me his twin turbo Stealth...it finally ended up breaking down and offered to give it to me. Too bad he's on the west coast, and I'm on the east coast . Some lucky mechanic got it for I think less than 1k.

Why? The other japanese sports cars of that era are FAR better looking. Plus the 3000gt is waaaaaay overweight and is a complete slow turd if you get anything but the VR-4.

EDIT: And they're horribly unreliable.

the VR-4 has RIDICULOUS acceleration... friend had one and it was insanely fast..

it also has a supposedly amazing 0-60, and a very good quarter mile

the downside: reliability, and weight.

that thing is insanely heavy even for an awd car. Sure it's fun to launch 507 all-wheel hp from a stop and get like 0-60 in 4 seconds and have a nice quarter mile, everything else about it just sucks.

besides, how many vr4s are there in your area....?
