I need to move! I'm in Central Ohio right now -- I need a change! California? Florida? Arizona? Be specific! I like sunshine...

Texas! Houston

Its a huge city!!

actually stay away from houston.. another person looking for a job hurts my chances of finding one

Don't come to Dallas unless you have a good reason. The cost of housing has gotten out of hand here, and it is a boring, ugly city. Of course, I've lived here almost all my life, so I'm not going to leave now. Just trying to save the rest of you! 😀

I'm living in Austin and have been here since Feb. - it's a nice city. Only annoying thing is traffic but you pretty much get that everywhere.

I visted austin a bunch when my gf use to stay there.. I hated that one freeway that has such a short distance when getting on. It was like right when you got on, you were on the freeway going 35mph when everyone was going 75mph.

Im not sure if this is right but I heard the man who designed the freeway commited suicide b/c so many died on it b/c of his stupid design.

Ive been thinkin of movin to the Chandler or Phoenix area....movin from the NY area...lotsa sun in AZ....

Heh-heh... Tube amps rule! I built a pair of 2A3 triode amps a little over a year ago. Great sound with my horn loudspeakers. I'm back to planar speakers now, though (Magnepan). And solid-state, for now...

well if you want a fast-paced life, ain't no better place than NYC.

i would NEVER live anywhere else other than NYC. I think that other places would be too slow for me.

Everything is here! come on down!

Florida is probably at the top my list, for now. I used to live in Tampa when I was little and have fond memories of the area. Where in FL do you suggest? Any place with reasonable living costs? I'll need to find a decent, cheap apartment (I'm 23 -- just graduated from OSU in Bus-Marketing). I don't have a professional job yet, so I figure I may as well move to where I want to be!

You are right. I went to UT and still live in austin. I heard that guy committed suicide too. You can pretty much avoid that section of freeway...its just a few extra mintues on the service road. Austin Rocks! Hook 'em!

Florida - humidity and 5 minute rainstorms
Arizona - 100F+ temperatures (I'm sure with bad humidity)

I'm in NY and we get seasonal weather with none of the extremes in any direction. Bad things though - traffic and real estate prices.

I don't think there are any great large cities/locations where you are problem-free. Gotta find the sleepers...

No, the humidity is very low in Arizona...~20-30% is moderate to high....I've heard as low as 7%
I visited there the first time this summer...coming from the midwest, I cannot imagine Mars being much differnent than the Pheonix Valley

lower deck of 35? yeah, the ramps were short, they were completely rebuilt last year though. much better.

as for traffic, have you been to houston, mani? the traffic in austin is light in comparison (much as everyone around here likes to bitch about it)
