5 seconds? Maybe my electricity is faster than yours. Momentary's worked fine for me.

But my Asus manual says take out the battery, do the reset, dance a little jig, cross your fingers, and then put them back. I just end up resetting too often to do that, and my legs get tired.

eh, i'm old. at some point along the way some manual specified some mention of time and i just kept that in my head. momentary is fine too, but i'm just stuck in my ways. ;)

You would think thats 6yrs would indicate that you learned something concerning PSU`s.

Yet you say 12v is 12v the voltage is all the same not true....its all about amps. say you have 12v rail with 16 amps verses a 12v rail with 22 amps...thats a huge difference and also lends itself to the quality issue.

Yes that is a difference between the 12amp rail and the 22 amp rail, but the VOLTAGE is IDENTICAL. Volts and amps are 2 DIFFERENT things.
Volts defined by the dictionary: "Potential difference, usually expressed in volts."
Amperage defined by the dictionary: "The strength of an electric current expressed in amperes."

So YES the VOLTAGE is the SAME on both PSUs because the potential difference is 12 volts for both. The amerage is what differs. If you want to look at it as a combination of the two, look at watts, because watts = volts x amps.

There are many reasons for compatability issue. But suffice it to say alot of compatability issues that come up are solved by a simple bios update.
Right. But volts is not one of them.

Also those things you call proof are nothing more than statments made by buyers. Also 5these statements are NOT checked for truthfulness or factual statememts. NewEGG has in no way authenticates whether these are true or just over blown non factual statements....

So you are saying that EVERYONE who wrote a negative review about your favorite PSU brand is just plain lying? I can see some maybe - although I don't know why, who would lie about a PSU failing? - but ALL of them lying is pretty far fetched. If reviews written by buyers about their experiences with the item isn't worth anything, then what is?

PLEASE if you have more to argue about on this, contact me via PM because your useless arguing is just going to clutter up this thread.

useless..more intelligent than yours....
NewEGG is NOT a review site.
It is a site where people are allowed to post statements. I see no reviews done on NewEGG?? or am I missing something?

Whats my Favorite PSU sparky plz tell me?
I use Zippy or Enhance and I doubt seriously you will find anything negative about my Zippy PSU!
Anything except for there is NO frills just quality and some more quality and even more quality!

Apocalypse, I ASKED you to stop taking the arguement in the thread as it just clutters it up. This WAS supposed to be a PM to you, but apparently you've disabled PM's from me. Nice.
I know newegg is not a review site, but there is a part where people can write reviews of their experience with the product, so it is better than nothing. They seem to generally be rather true-to-life too from my experience.

No PSU company is perfect, period, meaning every so often a PSU will die (granted some are worse than others, like I wouldn't touch powmax or whatever). I'm not trying to find flaws in your stuff. In fact I like Fortron PSUs from what I've read and heard, and odds are my next one will be a fortron. I just mentioned that I've seen some ppl complain about a fortron dying (and an AT member is one of them), and you got all up in arms about it. Relax.

This is rediculous, let's just let it drop, OK? Arguements like this and you throwing around personal insults do nobody any good and get nowhere. No need for hostility over something like a PSU preference :)

cheers
