since we are on the topic of the settlements I saw a tv show few weeks ago where some guy was talking about how China is treating Tibet. Basicly what they are doing is moving people into Tibet with the goal of trying to remove the idea from the people in Tibet that they once were an independant nation. I just couldnt help seeing a resemblance on what seems to be going on there and what is going on in Palestine 🙁

Don't forget that Lebanon is being occupied by Syria.

Where is the resemblance? Tibet is/was an independant country while 'Palestine' hasn't existed as a country. In 1948 when you refered to 'Palestine' you were refering to the Jews and Arabs that live in the area that is today Israel.

<< I don't feel that what Sharon's government is doing is making my family any safer. If it were, I would be all for it. >>
What are the alternatives though? >>
A unilateral withdrawal from all the West Bank settlements, except for the settlements on the hilltops sorrounding Israel. Those settlments should be converted back into military posts.

And would that effectively end the suicide bombings?
<< There should not be any settlements to begin with. They all should have remained military posts. >>
Bleh. Conquered territory is conquered territory--it's your's to do with as you please. You won't see me saying I should move from California just cuz the US took it from Mexico
And *especially* if you acquired it in a defensive war

You think I don't know the history? Have you not been reading any of my posts?
