I think I want this oven

Ugh, this is getting crazy. I don't need WiFi to cook dinner. Give me a grill and a ribeye and I'll be a happy man.

All I need is for hackers to take over my oven and overcook my steak. No thank you. 😛

I do like the camera inside so I can double-check the cookies are brown or the pizza cheese is melted before opening the oven.

Ugh this is such a millennial geared product.
Appleish look...check...
WiFi enabled...check...
iPhone app....check....
minimalist website...check...
stupidly expensive....check...

I'm holding out for the oven that just lets you stuff live game inside and come back later for a perfectly dressed, seasoned, and cooked meal.

Given it's price it likely has to be targeting a group that already has wealth... Though to make cost they likely will only need to sell a few thousand of them.

Built-in streaming HD camera? I could make my own Good Eats episodes on Youtube! :awe:

Gives me a great idea for a edgy and exciting new reality show: "Watching Paint Dry"

It's already a thing - can't find the link (there's an interview about it on Youtube), but it's called Slow TV. Very popular in Norway - stuff like trains driving for hours on end, people knitting, that sort of thing.

Really doesn't surprise me...smh...but what can I say, I watched the pitch drop.

Ha, I didn't even look at the price. I'll wait for version 2. Anyway it's not the Internet connectivity that I like, it's the integrated camera and control system, which I admit is not too far removed from what you can get on some modern microwaves (although I'm not sure you can get it for $59). I'm into eating, but not really into cooking other than that it results in eating.
