Google search
Check it out, a search for DAP. I was looking for Download Accelerator Plus....and I'm supposed to believe more construction workers use google and click on a link to contact adhesives than noobs looking for the real DAP?

I would hope a company as big as DAP would show up first if you searched for 'dap'.

To the OP: If you have any idea how google indexes sites and how it works, well then you'd feel like a fool, especially after making a post on digg about it. I hope someone sets you straight over there.

Put it this way: they internet is a computer thing. So is Google. and so is DAP. Most online people will want Download Accelerator Plus anyways, and most people have more links to the program, than to the DAP that you refer to.

DAP is huge in construction. They make calks, adhesives, concrete patching, drywall materials, etc.

There's more interest in that company that whatever you're searching on I guess.

Yeah thats exactly my point; the more links there are to a webpage (like to speedbit.com for DAPlus), the higher the pagerank is. People clicking that result cause the pagerank to increase as well. There's no way there are more links to the non-downloading DAP than there are to the downloading DAP.

DAP is a brandname.. Why would people search for a program by the acronym, especially some obscure "download accelerator"? What is this, 1996? Never once have I gone to download Firefox and typed in Google "ff".

Thats not totally true anymore. Ever since Google Bombing, they have tweaked their algorithims for page ranking. Another thing, DAP is called DAP and is probably referred to as "DAP" in any industry links to it. Do all links refer to Download Accelerator Plus as "DAP"?

I am an internet dork, and when I heard 'DAP', I thought adhesives, not some random crap download accelerator.

I know what DAP is. I've never heard of "Download Accelerator Plus".

DAP the adhesive wins.
