Until today I have been using a Viewsonic A95f. The dot pitch is virtually non-existent, it's easy on the eyes...just a really nice monitor. My wife has a Samsung 955DF that I got for her last year during one of those Dell deals with a rebate and it was only $160. For the last several months her monitor was just 3 feet away from mine but I never really cared for it for some reason...it seemed like the pixels were gigantic, even at my personal favorite resolution of 1152 x 864.
Anyway, I decided to throw a PCI video card onto my motherboard and experiment with a dual monitor setup. I borrowed her monitor and after running the two monitors side-by-side for several hours I came to the conclusion that the 955DF is awesome! The colors are more vibrant, the pixels aren't as bad as I thought and it's like having a new toy! She is now the owner of a slightly used A95f.
By the way, after using dual monitors I don't know how in the world I lived without them! It's just great being able to use Visual Studio on one monitor and having the other monitor for web research, Word, Excel, the web, a DVD movie...it's awesome!
That was my random ramble for the day...
