LOL not stole but exchanged with my cpu..
my p3 700 cb0 orwhatever, was very unoverclockable.
even unstable at 800 with headghog.

Recently my girlfriend bought a computer with same p3 700 cpu.
I played around a bit and it was very overclockable.
did 800 with stock h/f very well.
I went over to her house today (with my cpu ), exchanged cpus while she's not looking @~@
When i put her cpu in my comp, BANG! 1 GHZ !
man, i love her!

Why didn't you just ask her? I'm sure she wouldn't mine if she doesn't plan to overclock. I know it's just something silly but I don't think I'd betray her trust like that. Just MHO.

Smart move! I woulda done the same thing! Your girl aint losing out at all and u are gaining so much more!! Just remember thats CPUs last longer then girlfriends. :) :) :) :)

Thats the way to do it my son!!! lol Should have told her befroe you did it! If you told her what you were going to do and stuff then she would not get anywhere as mad when she found out! She could find out one day and she would flame your backside to crisp!

Tell her that if she lets you &quot;trade&quot; the processors, she would be getting a 750 mhz one (the bad one can reach that, can't it?).

how would your computer feel if it still had that measly unoverclockable cpu in it?...u did the right thing

besides, your girlfriend has no clue. now, go buy the cheapest IDE drive u can find (i.e. 20MB) and substitute it w/ hers...sound card, etc., too if need be.
