Plus, a bunch of porn gets marketed as "oh wow, the latest work of XXX-Director".
And while Andrew Blake produces some OK porn, I'm not sold on it being the best. Of course, I only had access to a few select oeuvres of his filmography, so I may judge him prematurely.
Those that denigrate porn often have simply not gone out of their way to find the porn that appeals to them. It's a long, harrowing journey to pornographic enlightenment.
It's only the other day, that I discovered the marvel that is "Clown Porn" for example - despite the climatic ending being the subject of many a gif...
it sounds like his movies are put out by a studio bearing his name, so it makes sense.
I couldn't tell you the names of most porn performers or directors, but I keep track of studio names because you end up associating certain themes or quality levels with certain studios (and if that studio bears the same name as the director... obviously it's easier to remember who the director is)

You are so wrong on that. The more you watch the less you will remember who was doing what because you seen so much porn that it starts to blend together. Sights like youporn and the like don't filer by director it is by categories of what type of sex you are getting. The internet pretty must can over load you with as much porn as you want so you are not going to remember what you even watched. I bet most people can't even remember what they watched last week and that is how the ME generation roles.
Back when the world wide wide was not giving you the massive amount of free porn that you can get now. You had to go to these places call video stores and go in the back where the there were signs that said no one under 18 allowed. Back then you were at the mercy of the store as to what kind of porn you were going to watch. You only rented maybe 1 or 2 VHS tapes at a time. It was easy to remember what you were watching because all you had was the one tape and not the 25 vids that you could skim though on the net.
The store I was renting the XXX rated tapes had half the room fill with Ed Powers and after getting his dirty debutantes and compering it to the the big names like vivid he was so much better. The big names in porn seem to want to have 1 inch close ups more then 80% of the. I can film like they do all I would need is a hotdog and some baloney and hold 1 inch from the cam. Also those fools that did the editing and cut to a diffent angle every 5 seconds was such a big distraction.
Ed Powers on the other hand would just set up his cam in his bed room and what ever happen is what you got. No fucking lame music no one cutting and no 1 inch close ups. The other thing that made him great was the woman that he got was the first time they ever did porn. Everyone tape had at least one who did never did porn so you were getting a fresh girl every time.

Andrew Blake is MOSTLY softcore with a couple hardcore scenes occasionally. She never did hardcore in his films but she has done hardcore elsewhere.

X-Art makes excellent porn.
Andrew Blake is very stylish, but his movies lack both substance and genuine eroticism. There's no emotion or feeling, the performers don't look like they're enjoying what they're doing, and the movies just aren't that fun to watch.
