He parallel parked at a for police only (or whatever .. I dont remember) parking spot.....

and guess what was his trick for not getting a ticket?? the car behind him already got one, so he just took that ticket and put it on his windhsield!!

u cant imagine the trouble for the owner of the car behind him...

if he doesnt pay the ticket... (he doesnt know anything about it) his registration will be suspended (maybe his license too) He needs to go through a WHOLE lot of pain to get it straightened out.....

Thats what i was sorta thinking about two tickets, but do the police or whoever does them keep track of them?
They must otherwise people could get away left and right without paying them, and then this guy would have "one ticket" or "no tickets" but in reality unless this @%^( comes back first and replaces the ticket he would have one outstanding that hes gonna get zapped for later on when he doesnt pay it. :| Never gotten a ticket, fortunatley, so i dunno exactly what the dealio is.

Oh yes, they keep track very well... lol..

I don't think it'll be that big a deal, though. If you don't pay, you just get some mail saying that you haven't paid. I'd imagine the tickets get lost quite frequently.

actually no.. I have a friend who "forgot" to pay his parking ticket... He got shafted at the yearly registration time.. so instead of paying around 40 bucks.. he paid around 500 instead....
and no he did not get any friendly reminders
 
You should've stopped and waited till the guy to turn around the corner and then swap the tickets back w/o him knowing. So when he comes out he would toss the ticket onto the floor assuming that ticket belongs to the car behind him (which probably left before he came out). Turn the table around!

The innocent guy has no worries, the year, make of vehicle and plate number get's written on the ticket.
The ticket will haunt this guy.

Read again.
He puts the ticket from the car behind him on his, so a cop sees he already has a ticket, but won't check the license plate nr.

Next time, either put the ticket back when he has left, and/or phone the cops informing them of it.
 
I would have called the non-emergency number for the police dept. and reported what you just saw. They would have probably found some more issues to write this a-hole up for - in addition to the parking violation. Then, they could have topped it off with a wood shampoo** for this individual.

** Wood shampoo: when the police use thier night stick to beat someone on the head. 😀 😀 😀
 
Of course, if the guy who got the ticket hadn't of parked there he wouldn't have gotten a ticket. So, although it sucks to be him later in the year when he gets an extra fine for not paying, it's still his fault fot getting the ticket and he had a choice not to park their too.

The guy who stole the ticket and put it on his window, you could have called the police and let them know. Also, it's not uncommon for police to check the tickets on the window to see if that's happened. So, he could still get a ticket depending on how long the car will be there and how long away the next officer is.
 
I'm pretty sure the cops will double check the ticket since the car behind him doesnt has any ticket. Plus, there's a big chance it will be the same cop.
You could have just call 911 and report the crime 😀

The same cop patrols the area. The cop will know he never gave a ticket to this person. He'll get his, don't worry. He'll also probably get charged for taking the other person's ticket(obstruction of justice?).
