Before, I had an average sex drive, ate like a normal 20 year old woman, and while I have been diagnosed with depression, I dont need to take pills for it or anything because it doesnt usually bother me too much.

Now that Im taking YAZ, my moodswings are insane! I am sure that the YAZ is causing all of this. Is it normal? Should I continue YAZ and wait it out? What should I do? Ive taken birth control before (ortho tricyclen) and I didnt do so well with it either. Is it me?

pull out/swallow method FTW!

This: http://www.mirena-us.com/index.jsp is what my daughter got, no hormone swings, no periods, no problems at all and it lasts for years.

She's so happy she found a contraceptive that doesn't affect her hormones like the various pills do, giving you menopausal symptoms when you are 20? Blod clots, overweight, a mood that is either "i am female, i want man" or "don't even think about touching me", sometimes five minutes apart.

Check it out, it's the best i know of.

What if she's a married chick that doesn't want kids?

Douche.

Agentbolt is just upset that there is a contract out there stating even if he was the last man on earth the women of the world agree to explore barnyard selections to procreate first.

Go talk to your doctor! I've used low dose ortho-evra since I got off the patch and never had a problem like that. And I repeat go talk to your doctor!

Why when the human body already came up with it? Testosterone is the direct control of sex drive in women as well as men. Look it up if you doubt me.

Yeah, but increased levels of testosterone in women can cause more body hair (like on the chest too) and other manly attributes.

Drugs affect people differently because we all have different metabolism and hormone levels. It sounds like you're hypersensitive to Ethinyl Estradiol which is in both Ortho Tri-Cyclen and YAZ.

If you don't like the side effects then yes, you should look into something right for you. You might try to find a lower dose through a patch like Othro Evra or just ditch hormone therapy altogether and try spermicidal gel and condoms. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist on what might work better.

Tried tha patch, it failed and has also been proven to actually be harmful to women. I dont know if I would be comfortable with the spermicidal gel... and other ideas? :)

Nuvaring?

Yeah I thought about that till a friend of mine who used it got pregnant...

This is what my wife used, she liked it. It's possible your friend wasn't using it correctly.

Is it? What if she's married and don't want to have a child each year? Then what you dumb fuck? Sex=procreation only?

Or does it even matter, she should be able to do whatever she likes without your dumb arse calling her names.

Or maybe it's because that fat chick turned you down and now you are feeling a bit down?

There are always the brothels in Nevada, give it a while, maybe you can get one of them to do you if you shut up and put a pillow case over your head?

How easy would it be to talk to the doctor or the clinic people who prescribed this to you instead of asking on a messageboard comprised of 98% males in an offtopic forum?

You know this question, if you had to propose it here, would be better served in the Love & Relationships forum where you have posted and even started a thread on a sexual topic.

C'mon.

My wife has horrible problems with every birth control we tried. One caused pain during sex, which although it made me feel like more of a man (it's going too deep, it hurts) was not all that fun for her. Another took away her sex drive. Another made her a emotional wreck (sure everything was fine until she got a pimple and started crying about how she was ugly and didn't want anyone to see her.)

Finally, I told her to get off them. I'd rather use condoms then deal with that shit. Our sex life has been better, and our actual life has been better.

My problem is that doctors play with the hormone levels in a woman without any tests. They just give out birth control, screw with your body and if it doesn't work, well we can switch it. That doesn't seem safe. I don't like the idea of playing marco polo with the chemicals in my wifes body just so we don't have to use condoms.

Hormones only act in the uterus, no blod clots, no mood swings, no periods, no nothing.

And they give you a high dose of codeine so the woman will be sailing all day long.

It doesn't affect your endocrine hormones WHAT SO EVER, why women looking for contraceptives don't just get this one i don't know, perhaps they like being all hormony and moody or something?

It seems to be the ultimate BC, put it in, high on codeine for a day, lasts for years with no side effects besides not getting any periods....

You're wife is a smart woman.

Well, my wife didn't get pregnant while using it for over a year, and we weren't using any back-up form of contraception.

What is an effective IUD for women who haven't had a kid yet?

My daughter has one and she's never had a kid, you don't need to have a kid to get one of those.

I can honestly say that when she went off the pill it took a load of my shoulders, i mean she's in Sheffield and i am in Kabul, and now, the crying, the shouting, the crying while shouting is just gone, she really really wasn't made for too much estrogen, but this one works and it works perfectly.

This is strange. We weren't planning on having kids, but my daughter's name is 'Mirena' and my son is named 'Nuvaring'.

I just knew those were not "family names" like my wife claimed.

I don't want you confusing people that these two are even in the same league, it is physically impossible to get pregnant with Mirena while Nuvaring is just stupid and works about as well as cumming on her face, in 999 times out of a 1000 it will work, but what if that one time is the first time, as othes have testified to?

I know you were jokiing, but please don't put them on the same scale, even IF you get pregnant with the Mirena, you will not even notice it, the egg can't implant, so it will be rinsed out, if you actually have a period while using it, that is why.

It's the greatest thing since ... since... well SINCE!
