Smashburger or Cheeburger Cheeburger is better

cheeburger over five guys? really? all they have is their onion rings.. they've gone downhill since they opened up around here. even their salads suck now.

Not that great. The triple prime at ruby tuesday's is better and it isn't even that great.

I'd say it is a step above mcdonald's, BK, hardee's/Carl Jr.'s or Wendy's but that's about it

Not cooked to order sucks.

5 guys is awesome. I always fly united so that I can get 5 guys in the dulles airport. Beats any of the burger joints in detroit or philly.

The burgers are pretty similar to Miller's Bar in Dearborn. I used to get those quite a bit when I worked for Ford.

 Miller's Bar. Haven't been there for years, but it's about 800 miles farther away than it used to be 🙂.

Damn good burgers but on the greasy side.

I'd love a damn good chain like this but all grilled that was national.

When I lived in FL we had a chain called Charhut that was OK but even they didn't accomplish what I'm looking for.

Honestly though, Ted's Montana Grill in the Atlanta area has the best damn burger period IMO. It's bison but holy shit is it so damn good.

It's way too freaking expensive considering it still isn't nearly as good as a real home-cooked burger. I'd much rather go to a sit down and eat restaurant and spend the same amount of money for more and better food. It does taste good, but not nearly good enough for it to be worth the price.

I like Five Guys. I'm a west coast transplant, and although it may be blasphemy to some, Five Guys > In n Out

I love some In n Out...but it doesn't reach Five Guys goodness.

I've never had In N Out, and don't have burgers that often, but I love me some Five Guys. This thread inspired a craving that I quenched last night. It'll probably be another 6 months before I do it again but it was de-freaking-licious.

I like whisky. Whiskey is an alcholic mixer, made for coca-cola and women.

i don't know many women who partake in rye. manhattans are manly, and are properly done with rye, not bourbon.

I've been to a 5 guys twice. I really liked it. For a fast food chain, it's quite good. This is coming from a guy who worships In&Out 😀

I tried the 5 Guys in Renton WA. Pretty good. My only complaint was the bun was not substantial enough and would get soaked from all the fixings in the burger. They need to get a better bun.

Fries were good especially since they are fried in peanut oil but way too much. My friend and I ordered a regular each and if we had know how much they gave ......... we would have shared a regular.

Cheers,
Aquaman

It's good enough to go there purposely at least once a week. Glad to have it around here, we didn't have In-N-Out or Fatburger. Now we're getting a 2nd Five Guys right down the road.

Sorry but I had 5 Guys over here in Socal a couple months ago and no where near as good as everyone here says it is. In-n-Out burgers are infinitely better. The fries are good but you don't go to a burger joint for the fries.

I suppose if you don't have an

IN - N -OUT (that alone = /thread)

then I suppose 5 guys is a good (though lesser) option.

IN - N - OUT Double-doubleftw

IN-N-Out is typical. nothing really special.

seriously, as was mentioned earlier, a place like CharGrill demolishes In-N-Out. not even a contest.

You're comparing a place that has 6 locations to other burger places that have hundreds??? Right..............
