Where are people coming up with statistics that the 360 now is completely reliable? Didn't people say that when Falcon was released also?

Multiplatform and online gaming on 360 ps3 exclusives on ps3
The people that see these issues are doing everything they can to look for problems and wouldn't know a good game if it slapped them in the face and called them Suzy.
Completely blown out of proportion, and if the console has the games you want and the functions you need, just get it. Its like comparing a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, both amazing.
Slightly more than that - didn't Squaretrade release some statistics showing that repairs on 360s dropped off dramatically with the releases of Falcon and (more so) Jasper? Some want to believe...
Some multiplatform games like bayonetta are atrocious on the ps3 but IMO ps3 is worth it for the exclusives.
Bayonetta looking like ass on the PS3 was one of my few regrets in selling my 360 and switching to a PS3 in the past week. That and Gears of War 3 and possibly Fable 3. But I'd rather skip out on those games and have a worse looking Bayonetta than miss out on PS3 exclusives and pay $40+ a year to play online.
Generally speaking, multi-platform games are pretty much the same on both consoles. Sometimes they are better on the PS3, sometimes they are better on the 360, but most of the time, the differences are negligible, if any differences even exist.
I own both and have owned both for quite some time, and the only reasons I really gravitate more towards the PS3 now is because of the unreliability of the XBOX 360, the outrageous cost of accessories for the XBOX 360, and the fact that you have to pay out the nose for basic features that should have been included with the console (online gaming, WiFi, a decent sized hard drive, etc.).
In response to the OP:
Obligatory yes/no. As purbeast said, why are you looking for other people's opinions? Make your own decisions. Do you want a PS3? If yes, buy one, if no, do not buy one.
why "should" those features have been included with the console for free?
and 60Gb is more than enough. i still use the launch 20Gb HD and have no issues with space.
would you really prefer to have a free service the quality of PSN on Xbox 360, instead of paying $3/month for the quality of Xbox Live?
i sure as hell would not, and i would prefer that PSN had a service the quality of XBL for $3/mo instead of the shoddy free service they have.

and those of you saying 'online gaming should be free', have you compared Xbox Live to PSN?

Look, the bottom line is that MS can do whatever it wants and it can charge whatever it wants for its console and accessories. I am fine with that. I am also free to say "enough is enough" and move on to cheaper and more reliable hardware. The Xbox is just not competitive at its current price point with the PS3. And this coming from someone who traditionally despises Sony.
^ install to the HD solves that, and with an Elite there is plenty of space.
The graphics chip and its cooling was the cause of the RRoD. Jasper is the version that shrunk the GPU down to 65 nm, greatly reducing power draw and heat. The SquareTrade stats did show a massive decrease in repairs post-Falcon.
Does this mean Jaspers never fail? Of course not. Wii and PS3s fail too. So do DVD players, TVs, coffee makers....
also, i guess you didnt want to play MW2 on your PS3 the day of it's release, or 2-3 days after, because you couldn't play it online at that time![]()
Awesome line of thinking there. So, because Microsoft released a crappy system the first year or two, I should just be happy to jump in line and spend $300 to buy another 360 when Microsoft finally "got it right"?![]()
No, I'm just feeding the tr--uh, replying to the posters that assert MS is hiding the fact that Jaspers are just as unreliable as Zephyrs, so they can take another billion charge to use up their extra cash.
If you look back on page 1 I point out the PS3 is now cheaper and that if I had to live with one console (plus a gaming PC) it would be my choice.

Actually, I wanted to clarify something in case I wasn't clear enough -- if you are referring to my post, I did not say that Jaspers were unreliable -- what I said was that I have heard claims of having the problems fixed before (such as Falcon), only to be disappointed. Then I stated I had not yet seen concrete data indicating the Jaspers fixed the problem and wouldn't trust MS if they were the only ones stating that Jaspers "fix" the problem. If such data does exist -- GREAT. A little too late, however, especially for those of us with Falcons.
There's supposedly a problem with Falcons? My 3 brothers, my dad, and I all have Falcons and none have had any problems. I don't know anyone with a Falcon or later that has had a problem; yet everyone I know, including myself, has had their release 360 break at least once.
