A while back I cracked a wheel on one of my cars and had to order a new one, so the vendor chose UPS to ship. The scheduled delivery was on the 19th, so I waited for it.
Yesterday, I saw a UPS truck pulled into the housing complex, a lady deliverer hops out, went to the house ACROSS the way from mine, looks around (never bother to turned and look behind) and then left before I had time to run out and ask about my package. Later that evening, I checked the status and there was an exception with the delivery citing "Correct address requested".
I called their customer service, and they said the deliverer could not find the house, and have since realized the mistake and the package will be delivered today, the 20th in the AM. At noon today, I checked the status on their website again and nothing has changed regarding my package, the same exception was still listed so I called their CS again. This time, I was told "there was an error with the address, it's listed as AVENUE instead of LANE" which is a lie, because in their quantum notifications and previous communications, all listed the correct address.
The CS agent did ask me if I need the item, I could come pick it up myself, to which I replied "I paid for it to be shipped to my door". So, now 20 minutes into the conversation on the phone, the CS agent agreed to route my package to be delivered before 2:30 PST.
The UPS truck came, I ran and stood outside of the front door to make sure she doesn't miss the house, which I have a hard time understanding how she could miss it the first time as the number is prominently displayed on the awning, all she has to do was look in the general direction... Well, she told me that the package was on another truck yesterday... Which is another big fat lie.
Anyways, I took the package inside, opened it up and there were two dents on the brand new wheel. Just unbelievable! Now, I don't know where the dents come from so I'm contacting the seller first. Seller is an e-commerce extension of a dealership, and they are reputable.
Cliffs:
1. UPS
2. Incompetency, lies
