What's worse it that patch 2.4 is about to come out and my guild just kiled Vashj and Kael last week! I missed my chance at Hyjal/BT!! I guess I'll have to sell my account or delete my characters somehow...

this post makes no sence in 2.4 they are removeing the attunement to Hyjal and BT

ahh but it does because you still need the vials to get the rings from Scale of Sands rep. And they just started BT/Hyjal. No one knows when 2.4 is coming out. As blizzard always says, "When it's done."

...wow I feel really sad about what I just posted.

You haven't really quit WoW until you've deleted your characters or sold your account. Even then you have a chance of remission. I'm living proof. 😛

I've thought about this, and I previously thought, when I get really old and my days are numbered, I thought I would finish myself with heroin. But now it seems there is a new drug that comes close to heroin's ability to waste your life, WOW. so now I plan on using heroin while playing WOW to do myself in, if WOW even exists, hopefully there will be something better.

I sold my account...decided to re roll horde. MAN is it nice not having to follow a guilds raiding schedule. gruuls, ssc, tk....no more until I get this little nub up to 70.

New realm, no money, don't know anyone...LOVE IT. hahahaha, I do not have to play all of the time. playing at leisure > guild raid schedule.

Smart decision. Im a newb that just started playing, but I was disgusted when my friend whos been playing since launch said he raids for 5 hours every night and he cant get his math done (his only class). Doesnt sound fun to me at all.

I raid. We do it 4 nights a week for 3 hours. At 70, once you've done everything you can do in 5-mans this is really all there is left to do unless you roll another character.

It's okay for me though. I usually play 3 out of those 4 nights and don't log on for anything else. I truly am a casual raider I guess.

I don't see how people have fun doing raids. All you're working for at that level is phat lewt. And the name "raid" is highly misleading when they're just dungeons you work through, for 20 hours a week.

they only take 20 hours a week if you suck

I do Kara and Zul raids on Weds and Suns, I might log in and do BG's once or twice a week. It's better than watching reality shows (which my wife loves). It works out 🙂

For me raiding was never about the phat lewt, it was about getting together with people I enjoyed playing with and conquering giant monsters. If you only raid for the lewts, then the game is going to go downhill for you rapidly in terms of enjoyment.

I got bored of MMORPGs in junior high. Once you get bored of one or two there all boring after that. It was fun though especially since back then I had all the time in the world and all my friends played with me.

I had the same problem, played MMOs through middle school and beginning of high school, at which point all MMOs seemed like crap. I played Wow for a couple of months and got bored again. Oh well

THere's not really a way to get bored with WoW though- there's so much you can do that there's something to appeal to everyone.

So whats an average level 70 character in wow sell for these days?

not much, fully T6 geared chars only sell for like a grand

I made a secondary account and sold off my 70 S2/S3 warrior for around 700ish bucks (I still want to keep my other characters, as I still wanted to play). The problem is looking for the place to sell it. I used e-bay but it was taken down in a couple of days.... BUT it was up there long enough for someone to contact me directly and offered me 710 bucks for it.

It was my 5th character I sold, so I'm somewhat experience in the scams, tricks, and selling scene. The main thing people look for is the type of server (PVE or PVP), type of class, and gear. You're main concern is whether if your character is on a PVE server or PVP. Generally, PVP characters will sell for quite a bit more.

hmmm, I had 3 70's on a PvP server...

I've very recently stopped logging in for job #2.

Unfortunately I started playing EQ again instead. =/

Welcome to the real world. Now you have time and money for crack.

money? i thought crack was more than 15 bucks a month?

im in a big raid guild also, but have yet to raid in that game. its very possible to play, have fun and still get to lvl 70 with decent gear and not put in 7 hours a day, ive been doing just that since before the game came out.

Hi, my name is Patrick and I'm a wowohohic. It's been nearly 2 years since I've been sober. It's a lot easier now to pass the time. I'm spending 2 hours/night learning guitar and it's quite relaxing. I still think about it a lot, especially since my friends who haven't quit talk about nothing but wow whenever we meet up for whatever reason. Though these days, I feel more fortunate the more they talk about it but I do die a little inside.

btw ^ is true.

You guys think I could sell my account for $4-500ish? I only have 1 level 70 on a PvP server (orc warlock with a mix of Tier 4/5 stuff, almost no PvP gear though...even though it's easy to get). and a level 67 rogue alliance on another server. If I could make some money off of the account, I'd sell it in a heartbeat.

EDIT: I could sell it legally also because I have all the original boxes/CD cases/everything still.

I dunno I am thinking of selling my full S3 (minus shoulders) disc/holy priest (PvP server) but if I don't play WoW I'll do something else. Like today, I haven't played WoW yet but I have spent 45min trolling forums...like this one.

If it's not WoW it'll be something else (probably more expensive) so in the end what's the difference?
