Wouldn't the landlord beat your ass(or, realistically, fine you or punish you in a wimpier way) if you use that thing within 10 ft from the building?
That is what I was thinking.
When I see all those gone, I will remove mine

For $208 not bad I suppose, though I would have paid a little extra and gotten a Weber Genisis silver B or C, depending on if you use the side burner or not. I don't particularly care for the Accuflame system from Fiesta or Char-Broil.
That probably would have been almost twice as much.
A Weber Genisis Silver would be 4-5 times as much. IIRC, they start at around $1000.
A "little extra?" I think not.

You might be thinking of the Summit line of grills. Depending on the setup, those can run you from 800ish to thousands. The Genesis A can be had for under $350. The Genesis B and C models are more like 400-500, depending on how much stainless steel you get (cover, grates...). Nevertheless, Weber grills are much more expensive than most other brands.

no doubt. how do you find the time to get drunk with a gas grill?

I even got a cover for it. 😎
About....7 years ago, I was renting a house. It had a BBQ gas grill. I used that bad boy 3-4 days a week. Since then, I've not had a grill, but have missed it. :brokenheart:
Today, I realized the dream. 😀 I bought a nice grill. Even got the Implements of Destruction to go w/it.
40K BTU's of Scorched Meat Mayhem. Pics:

Safety First! (Had this in the kitchen, moved it out here so stupid property owner can see I'm good to go)
Let's see, I cooked: T-Bone steak, 2 Rib Eyes, 4 chicken breasts. Didn't eat them all! 1/2 of that is lunch for this week. Made Ranch Style Beans on the side burner and corn and green beans on the stove in the house.
It was yummy. Gas grills rock.
ps
I took the pics before cooking. I was too busy cooking (and sampling 😀) to take pics while actually cooking. Yes, I used the copper brush to scrape the grill afterwards; I take care of my stuff!

I think the major concern will be the patio overhang.
A few years back a guy around here caught a whole apartment building on fire cooking stuff on a covered patio.
Another guy burned down a 500k house doing the same thing.
Remember the heat only travels one way, and always make sure the "safety equipment" is in proper working order. And of course a pat on the back for even having the forethought to put one out there.
