Screw the "man card" bullshit, there's hardly an SUV out there that compares to a minivan for utility and practicality (both of which are very mannish qualities). Appealing to your vanity is a very womanly quality ("Oooh, I like the green car!" "But honey, that has less power, less room, worse fuel economy, and it's more expensive than this car over here." "Yeah but I like the color!") Nothing beats being able to get up and walk around inside your moving vehicle, you know, for when you need to get back there to beat your kids, which is another manly quality. Try to beat your kids 3 rows back in a Suburban!

Shens. No one likes green cars. Green is just about the worst sold color in America. If you see a dealership with lots of green cars you know theres something wrong.

I like green cars. I would take this green car in a heartbeat.

I drive a full size van and a minivan.

i would take this too...

There should be a law that every mini van has to drive under the speed limit and stay in the right lane. I love watching retards going 80 in their mini vans, weaving through traffic like they didn't hand over their set to the wife. Guess what asshole, its a mini van, stay in the right lane and safely drive your kids around and stay out of the way of actual cars.

you should have handed in your man card years ago, because you think what kind of car you drive defines your manhood.

yeah. heaven forbid someone actually needs it!

station wagon.

there is more then size that matters.

we have 2 kids and travel a lot so we did need the room.we did have a Ford Taurus wagon it was nto large enough for all the trips we go on.

Also i have a bad hip and back. so squating down into a car is a pain. where a van is just the right height i can just slide in and out.

Once vi_baby comes along next March I'm probably grabbing one of these:

Mazda5 mini-mini Van

I'm completely sold on the sliding doors for getting kids in and out of car seats in cramped parking spots. Plus when they get older you don't have to worry about them dinging anybody when they start opening doors on their own.

yeah then we would have to limit SUVs, trucks, crossover vehicles.

or we can have a safe speed limit for all of those. hmm

btw a van is based off a car platform. so uh yeah it is a car.

i have 3 kids, a mini van is mandatory for us.

in NJ kids have to be in car seats till the age of 8 or 80 pounds, 2 of my kids are under 8 yrs of age. do any of you realize how bad it is for the third child to be in any kind of a bench seat along with 2 car seats?

no, minivan is the best option.

nah, all the new minivans do that. the windows in the sliding door of the new odyssey and kia sedona roll down, not sure off the top of my head if the sienna does or not.

No worries, I'd love to have one myself.

But to determine your true remaining mancard eligibility status, how much did it run you?...:)

no not that one. Mines basically a truck. I haven't had either of rear seats in it in probably 2 years. You can cram a hell of a lot in the back of one of these things when you need too. I've had it for 5 years now which is the longest I have ever owned a single vehicle. If you really want to talk about turning in man cards not only do I a single dude have a minivan but I also have a miata :).

You were doing fine until the bolded part. I am going to need your man card now.

Well if it helps any the miata is also turbocharged and has a manly roll bar.

Well, anything turbocharged can't be completely bad...now I am torn between making you cut off a corner or keeping it all toghther, since like I said turbochargers are bad ass.
