I had an IDIOT here, I think it was a mod (wizman? PissWizz? Comp/you/fuck? whatever the name was?) demand mine because I like my steak well done! What a pussy!

Enjoy your minivan. I'd never purchase one myself but it's a wise decision if you have a couple kids.

sorry, but cooking your steak until it's a dried out piece of leather is not a manly thing to do. let me guess, you dip it in ketchup to get some of the moisture back?

Not another idiot telling me how to "like/cook" a steak!
There should be no moisture loss if cooked properly!

You people think that if a steak is well done..... it's dry, burned and inedible, etc= BS!
I like what I like and I don't like a dried burned piece of steak! I like it WELL done, Up yours! Simple as that ;)

Minivans are . I have a 01 windstar that still going strong at almost 140k, knock on wood. wife drives it mostly but on long trips, you can't beat it. Throw on a rack storage and the thing can haul a ton of sh1t and still be comfortable.

There isn't a car out there that could give us all the utility that our minivan has given us. And, I'm not sure that any SUV's could compare either. Cool, 3x5 pressure treated landscape timbers are on sale for 50% off?! Yeah, give me 50 please, please. (you should have seen that minivan squat down low!) The look on the guy's face at the gas station when the alpaca stood up in the back end of the minivan was priceless, as were the looks of joy on little kids faces when we were taking breaks at reststops with 9 goats in the back end. Kids dirtbikes - yep. Tons of tools, 1/2 ton or more of coal, dozens of bags of landscape bark, piles of bricks, etc. Sissy vehicle? Absolutely not. Usually at least one of the rear seats is in the garage; quite often both.

no not that one. Mines basically a truck. I haven't had either of rear seats in it in probably 2 years. You can cram a hell of a lot in the back of one of these things when you need too. I've had it for 5 years now which is the longest I have ever owned a single vehicle. If you really want to talk about turning in man cards not only do I a single dude have a minivan but I also have a miata :).

We bought an Odyssey a year ago and love it. Great power, tons of space, excellent for the kids. I also have a 94 dodge caravan for my 'drive to work' car. Cost me 200 bucks, No rust, paint is good and air is cold. Man card still in the wallet.

I had considered a minivan for a while, but we couldn't find any that could comfortably tow 6,000lbs. So we settled in on the Expedition we got now. As for Dr. Pizza... blowing the shit out of your shocks to prove a point that it can tow isn't a good determiner of capability. An SUV could do that without ripping its suspension to hell after doing it 5 times.

A minivan fills a crucial market and there is no doubt its utility is invaluable to many. But just because a minivan *can* doesn't mean its best to use it for it. I use my Expedition for travel, towing. Bronco to get people through the woods during deer hunting. The beat up old Jeep Cherokee to go get deer (that's actually 3 wheel drive right now cause a stump tore off the shaft to the front left wheel ^_^*)

I don't see a minivan filling any of those roles. As I said, minivans are invaluable in their own sector. But saying an SUV couldn't compare in utility is simply wrong.

You were doing fine until the bolded part. I am going to need your man card now.

Recently drove a rental minivan , Hyundai Entourage, and was surprised that it didn't handle like a minivan and also by the build quality. Both good.

You can pretty much fit anything in those vans. I've done work with AC installers and electricians and it' crazy how much crap can fit in the back of those.

My aunt and uncle had an E350 EXT Cargo van with the 7.3L diesel. They traveled across the country with it and it had a bed, TV, entertainment center, and CB radio. The thing was awesome!

We have a Dodge caravan and for a day out in the field shooting stuff, you can get a lot of guns and things to shoot in the back of that thing.

Buying a minivan for your family doesn't lose you a man card as long as the wife is the primary driver. If you spend more time in it than she does, give me your mailing address and I'll send you a crate of tutus.

northing wrong with a minivan at all. Are they coolest form of transportation in the world? No.
Are they one of the most functional versatile and practical? Hell yes.
It makes transporting the family and friends 100% easier.
