I think she does cut only men's hair - maybe that is the explanation? She's the only woman in a regular old-fashioned barber shop, complete with the pole out front. I don't think this place sports a web site!

I always tip 5 bucks+. Funny, I can call in anytime and say "when can you fit me in today, is now ok?" Not suprisingly the answer is "come on in". I've seen her make others wait while I get my cut that were there before me and had an appointment many times.

Tip well, and you'll live well.

Oh, and my hair place serves beer. Everybody else has to pay, not me.

Reasons like this are why I wouldn't tip the lady. If that's my first visit, and you make me sit and wait longer after someone comes in after me... your tip won't be much of anything.

I get my hair cut at home though, so it's all moot.

You need to provide the following:
- cost of hair cut
- time it took you to get to the barber/stylist
- length of the scissors
- number of hairs cut from your head
- the time it took for the hair to fall and hit the shop's floor
- were you slouching when the hair cut was given?
- location of the shop
- a Lean Sigma 6 analysis of the barber shop's business model and approach to cutting hair

Someone who only cuts women's hair - stylist.

the barber lady took 40 minutes to cut my hair. she is the only one that can cut it so awesomely. even though a bad haircut doesnt make me look any less awesome. 20 on a 13. its cool. i wish tipping was illegal though.
