I've started a webmaster help site, that is going live, and I need some webmasters and web developers to help out with getting it going. As you probably know forums dont get popular till people are there, and people wont go there until its popular. The forums are up and running, and I am adding as much content as I can to it. I have a few guys with a lot of talent that will be helping out on this, as well as lots of advertising.

What I need is either webmasters looking to help, or looking for help. If you do web development, you may want to bookmark the site anyway. I'm starting with some serious web advertising next month, and I am going to get a lot of people in here, and build up some great webmaster help forums.

If you are interested, sign up. Those who get in early and help out will be made moderators as the site gets bigger. It doesn't pay anything of course, its non-profit, but you get the glory of being a part of something that in a year or two is probably going to be really big. Check it out. The domain name is going to change in a day or so, but you'll still be able to get in through this url:

Webmaster help forums

thanks for checkin it out.

Are the forums going to be it?

Have you conisdered having a site with the forums seperately?

Or is this just going to be a forum only?

No, I am going to have a full site soon, I've actually been working on this project for almost a year, writing articles, collecting data, etc. But I dont want to build the site until I have tons of content, and its all setup. Right now, I figured I would do the reverse, instead of building the site, and then starting forums, I'd start the forums first, and build a little community, then take my time on the site. Once the site is up, I have a full audience already.

a. boo to phpbb.

Why? I love phpbb, I've been working with it for years. I am extremely familiar with it. The other owner wants to use vbulletin, and I am weighing the options, but I think for now I'm sticking with phpbb.

I agree. I've been thinking about that a lot. I just cant decide what to cut, and what to keep. I have all this planned out, and it looked great on paper, but once I got everything setup in the forums, it looks like way too much.

phpbb is alright, I like Invision. That's probably just because I'm more used to it though.

Im much more of a vBulletin fan, purely because its so much more advanced.

I can check my licensing details and see how much it would cost to get a license to have another Bulletin board on a different domain.

If its not much, i will consider it, provided you wouldnt mind vBulletin?

hey, thats way cool man. I will definitely consider that. I don't know vbulletin very well, but it might provide a better solution

question for the fellow webmasters.............do you call your woman your webmistress?
If so, do you get smacked for sayin it?
