I got 1K(yes, harhar) and a week of no fucks being given. I need to get the hell away from this place!

I was thinking about going to Wyoming, but the tickets alone cost at least $1,200, so f'that.

I need somewhere to get away from civilization and pronto...😎

I ain't taking my car anywhere...So ATOT, do your worst!

Tampa, FL

I can probably do Orlando.

Orlando is probably better, there are tons of destinations out of Orlando.

You fly to Denver, rent a car, then drive out to Rocky Mountain national park. Around the end of the month you can get a roundtrip flight from Orlando to Denver for less than $400.

Nice find, that's actually doable. Now a just need a tent, a gun, a fishing rod and a lot of cheez-its :hmm:

Decide where you want to go in Colorado before you decide what to bring. Some places, especially the national parks, have restrictions on what you can do. Some things aren't allowed, others may require permits.

I figured you lived in florida as soon as I saw this thread. Florida sucks.

Disagree. Florida only sucks most of the year. It REALLY sucks during the summer (April - September).

I know ... I've lived here since the 60s.

I moved to Tampa from Newport Beach, CA.

You have nothing on how I feel....absolutely nothing. Stop complaining.

Well, the weather is nice during a Florida "winter." But otherwise, the state sucks and I can't wait the GTFO.

What's bad about Florida?

It's hot all the time, there's lots of old people in the central area, lots of latin people in the south, lots of rednecks in the north everything is far away from everything else. It's pretty rough trying to find a decent job if you didn't move there for one. There's a lot worse places to live, but Florida is pretty low on the places I'd be willing to live.

I'm thinking about moving there this summer. Can't be all that bad right?
Old people - what's wrong with them?
Latin people - I'm from Texas, it'll feel like home
Rednecks in the north - again, ditto
Job - got one lined up
Hot weather - again, I'm from Texas and I hate snow/cold weather
...and there's the beach, and c'mon...Disney? It's the happiest place on earth. What's the problem.

I go to Florida for the beaches. If the beach isn't nearby, I'm not interested. Florida in the winter is almost perfect weather wise. Great fishing, fresh seafood, warm weather. What more could you want?

Wyoming in March is not for wimps. Fly to El Paso, rent a car, and head to Big Bend.

That's what I was thinking. Check the weather of whatever spot you want to visit. About twenty years ago I headed to Idaho to go backpacking. I grew up in the Bay Area and it didn't occur to me that there could be snow. Lots and lots and lots and lots of snow.
