I miss the times when I had a hobby that I was passionate about. I would do it everyday and I look back with fond memories

any ideas?

if worst come to worst, I'm thinking about getting a sportsbike (motorcycle) and riding that around. Not really a hobby but it would be fun to ride (I mean die)

Weather is getting good too, racing? You could probably get some lessons on a track, but cars are an expensive hobby.

How much money do you have to spend?

I can't recommend motorcycling unless you have 2.5k to just start out, have good health insurance and well, won't give us a bad name.

Since my accident, I've been assembling models. Currently working on this one and have spent about 20 hours on it. I'm only on the 3rd instruction box with the bondo, sanding, washing, priming, painting, sanding, painting, sanding.

If you have cash to burn Motorcycling could be an awesome hobby, especially if you live near a good track and have access to good training. I could see that being a huge amount of fun and really addicting.

My hobbies include bowling, fishing, shooting at the local range, modding my car, playing PC games, and I like to cook. Don't know if any of that sounds fun to you. If not, you could always pick up a drug habit.

Thats pretty cool. It would be safe to say thats pretty cheap for a model with that much detail. They can be fun also.

OP, what are some things you already enjoy? Look at some things you already enjoy doing and turn those into hobbies.

Recently I have taken up: wine-making, skeet-sheeting, scuba diving, pistol/rifle shooting at the range and I am looking into hang gliding. All of these are fun; however they are best done when people around you already do them so you can get some advice on how best to start. Ask your friends if any of them do these. If you lived in Maryland I would let you in on a few.

Anime.

As a bonus you'd score tons of chicks.

I think I'm too old for anime

I got a good one. Seriously.

Woodworking. Look around your house at the furniture and things you'd like to replace and imagine yourself building and finishing them. It's an exiting time to be a woodworker with thinks like pocket hole jigs and hollow chisel mortisers making it so much easier. Plus you get to shop for old classic iron and steel tools and fret over calibrtaing your blades to the hundreths of an inch.
