<< House is just too hard, progressive im not too clear >>

what the heck kinda house are you listening to? lol, unless you're listening to hard house (ala dj irene, bad boy bill), house is really mellow, esp when compared to trance. probably if you're hitting up the mainstream clubs, they're playing hard house, maybe even nrg, and that's where this mixup is occuring 🙂

It's obvious you know you're music, so let's not turn this into a flame fest k? I'm aware that Darude's song all sound the same (it's pretty much cookie cutter trance), but for what it's worth, sandstorm was a good song. cheesy, yes, anthem, yes, but hey, would you rather have sarina paris - look at us now #1 dance song of 1999 (or whatever year it was)? It's pretty obvious by rereading your reply that you really, really, really dislike sandstorm, but let's not turn this into a sandstorm flamefest =)

<< f all he's looking for is hard & fast beats, I don't suggest any trance cuz he will most likely find it boring. >>

He threw up sandstorm, which i do consider fast and hard. i didn't recognize derb-derbus, so i didn't comment on that. george acosta/armin van buuren tend to throw down a harder set of trance than most other dj's. I didn't recomment tiesto cuz i know usually he plays pussy trance (usssssssssually, although he's been going alot darker -> sasha/digweed lately). i recommended christopher lawrence cuz what can i say, christopher lawrence ROCKS! he spins a nice darkish evilish trance that gets you movin.

<< mean Christopher Lawrence has to be one of the best Epic Trance producers/dj's in the world. >>

by the way, he spins acid trance, not epic 😉

any sort of dance music is wrong*

I can't believe no one told him to DITCH THE TRANCE, DRUM AND BASS ALL THE WAY!! seriously, everyone i know who's into electronic music started out on trance, and has evolved into drum and bass and jungle and breakbeats. They all tell me it's like a natural progression of sorts and they wish they had started listening to harder stuff earlier.

Trance is cool and all to get you started..but believe me, the GOOD music is all in the DnB baby. Get some:

AK1200
Dieselboy
Roni Size
Andy C
R.A.W
Congo Natty
Mark Farina
Kemistry & Storm
LTJ Bukem
Ming & FS
Aphrodite

<< HUH ? hard & fast beats = Trance ??? umm.. NO >>

if you want HARD and FAST beats... ummm
Happy Hardcore...

if you just want HARD, ummm
Hard House

Mark Farina

when the heck did mark farina spin jungle?

DnB/Jungle is alright, but it's really difficult for a person to just say "hey i like that", well at least IMHO it is. it took me alot of training to like dnb. i mean i had to listen to dnb/jungle, even though i didn't like it, and eventually it became "tolerable". it's okay, just gets really repetitive, doesn't actually go anywhere

when i listen to trance and stuff, it's actually able to "take me on a journey"

when i listen to house and stuff, it makes me wanna dance

when i listen to jungle, it's just liek whatever. it's too hard to do anything to me, and it's too weird (for lack of a better word) for me to dance to. no disrespect or anything, it's just a weird genre.

if you want knock yourself out and DL some jungle tracks. stuff by aphrodite and ak1200 is alot better for a newbie, but eventually you can branch off and dl the harder/darker stuff that dieselstation listed above

'sides, jungle isn't club tracks =P

How can you consider LTJ Bukem drum and bass? Or even Aphrodite for that matter?

Dieselboy rocks. I got a chance to see him spin at a party in Pittsburg a couple years ago. Great set.

<< There's something wrong with your thread title. There is no such thing as GOOD techno. >>

that can be said with just about any genre of music

<< Paul Van Dyk, John Digweed, and Carl Cox's stuff is tight. >>

Yah all these mentioned by DJLux is pretty tight.
