Well, I've been dodging the bullet for years now and I think I'm finally going to take the plunge. My gf and I have been dating for 3 1/2 years and I'm ready to ask her to marry me. She knows the ring is on its way but thinks there is still anotherr 10 days till it is finished...so she will be surprised. I bought the ring today and now I have to find a way to ask her. Please help cause I'm going out of town on Thursday morning for a week and I want to ask her before I leave...
Here are a few guidelines...

1. I'm a college kid so something too expensive is out... lets say $200 budget...
2. I'm not one that likes to do the big public thing like at a ball game or something. UGGGHH. Some public is ok.
3. Something somewhat romantic is always a bonus!
4. Where I live the daytime temp right now is around 60 degrees.

Anyone heard of any creative/cool ways to propose? stories / experiences?? Help!!

Still in college..... still too early.

how old are you by the way ? Getting married early will only make it that much harder.

Put the ring around your penis.

If you can do this successully and she still marries you, you've found the right girl. :)

Heh. Reminds me of a joke I once heard.

Want to experience marriage without commitment? Then find a woman you absolutely can't stand and buy her a house.

If you're in college, don't do it. Wait until you have a degree, steady income, and have matured. If you two are really in love, a few more years won't matter.

Either that or you've got a really small penis.

I have some ideas and I dont need "help" per say... people on here always have a lot of input (good or bad) so I thought I'd see what people had to say... maybe get some more ideas...

Don't do anything where you make a huge scene in public. That's cheesy x1000000000000000 as far as I'm concerned. Just take her to do something that she really likes; maybe ice skating or hiking or playing frisbee or whatever. If you can't think of anything then after dinner at a nice restaurant will usually suffice. Make it as "normal" as possible until you're ready to ask, and then you should just abruptly get down on 1 knee and ask her. Simple!
