I need a new TV series to check out

Well, not much is on TV right now, except Burn Notice, so I'm looking for something to fill in the time.

So what are some good series? Preferably, something I can rent on DVD.

For reference, I watch(ed):
Dexter, 24, Shield, Burn Notice, Psych, Sons of Anarchy, Heroes, Spaced, Top Gear, and others that I'm blanking on right now.

Suggestions?

Or Life on Mars (UK), Veronica Mars (came to mind because of LoM, but a great series and I :heart: Kristen Bell), The Wire, Lost, Traveler, The Lost Room, Supernatural, Firefly, BSG (seasons 1 and 2 were best, not so much later), Arrested Development, Prison Break (season 1), Twin Peaks, The Unit, The Dead Zone, Buffy/Angel, Rescue Me, Doctor Who (the resurrected 2005-2009 series), Dark Angel, John Doe, Alias...some more series, just picking out some from top 100 on TV.com that I've seen and recommend. Not including anime (bunch of series I would recommend).

right now i like recuse me, which is great...but you really need to go watch it from the start because its so wacked out.

breaking bad is also awesome.

I'd also add Farscape, Torchwood, Futurama or Babylon 5 for any scifi series. If you want something shorter, I'd recommend something like The IT Crowd or No Heroics if you need a good laugh.

Good suggestions so far because I haven't seen any of these. I'm about halfway thru the 1st episode of Green Wing and I'm liking it so far.

That's what I like about it - you've got this man who you're suppose to root for - but as the show goes on you like him less...
