iAudio X5

I just ordered one, it'll be here tomorrow. I'll put up a review then. From the specs and the chatter on the iAudiophile forums this player looks to have amazing SQ though.

This will run a little more than your budget for the 30GB version, but you can get one with a 35 hour battery life that is the same size and shape as a 60GB iPod Photo.

cool i look forward to what you have to say about it

So you would consider getting the x5? Like someone else said..color screens are becomin the norm for 20GB+ players..you might as well get one...

My reasoning is simple, the flash based Mp3 players are MUCH smaller and run almost w/o bugs, while the hd based mp3 players are kinda big and most have tons of OS errors.

Ipod blows simply because of itunes.

if its nice and such i woudl consider it, i realize color screens are becomming the norm and all they are doing is making the player more expensive, when in fact they should be getting cheaper,

all i want is a player that plays songs and sounds good and is small, and new, however noone makes them anymore

its just like cellphones, all they need to do is make and receive calls and take messages, they do not need cameras, color screens and streming video IMO, however its near impossiable to get a new phone that doesnt have tons of expensive features that i will never use
