Wait a minute... I know that guys want "some ass" but it doesn't sound right if girls want "some ass". Shouldn't it be looking for some "tools"? =)

Just an expression really...."some ass" as in...YOU KNOW... 😉

Gotcha. The messaged was conveyed but when I thought about what you actually wrote, it didn't make sense. This is a problem with contemporary linguistic uses rather than proper Engrish.

People people! We can talk about ass all we want AFTER someone tells me what kind of input on the speakers (or sub) hooks up to the RCA adapter!

The only ones I've seen so far have slots on the sub to plug the other speakers in to...only output, no input.

CrazyGAL. I suggest just purchasing an entire home theatre system. I don't remember ANY speaker system with RCA inputs. You could always go to Radioshack and do that shiet yourself with some speaker knowledge.

Well on the logitech speakers that I have, there is no "standard conection" for an adapter that I know of. Only output ports for the speakers from the sub and one for the headphones.

So how do I know which speakers will work with an adapter?

In the link above, there are no female slots. I might be confused but how does the ps2 audio cable plug in to that adapter which plugs in to the speakers?

You can get all kinds of configurations. Male, female, male and female....

Are you speaking of pr0n here or are you still on-topic? 😉

Bleeb, I am not going to spend that kind of money for a $5 adapter and $50 speakers. I just want to know what the adapter plugs in to on the speakers, since I'll need to get speakers with those inputs.

I'm definately still on topic, here.

I was thinking of getting those actually. But do they have something I can plug an adapter in to?

Edit: I found them online and they look like would work! Thanks for the help, but does anyone know if they sound good?

They sound alright, nothing special but they get the job done.

Well if I used them for the MAME games I normally play I'm sure they'd work just fine. But I might want to use it as a jukebox type thing as well.

But if I played some mp3's on them, would they put out enough sound and bass to be pleasureable??

Logitech Z-340's (<$50) with an 1/8" stereo jack to RCA adaptor (~$5 at any Radio Shack). If you want to output both to PC and RCA at the same time, you can add a simple Y splitter (on the stereo jack side) for another ~$5.

oh sure, those speakers have 40 watts of power and a mighty big subwoofer.

Yes, yes I did...and I bet you're one of them 😉

Oh crap...those speakers (Altec XA3021) don't plug in to my computer!

I need ones that work with a ps2 and my computer!

nope. a man my age needs more stimulation than teasing message on the internet. 😀

OMG HI2U! 😉

If you don't mind refurbished items, these speakers have a nice low end. They're the best sounding reasonably priced 2.1 PC speakers I've heard.

I'd prefer them vs. the Altec Lansings although I generally like Altec speakers too. Either set of speakers could be made to work with the PC and the PS2 with a couple of adapters.

Well give me your email address and I'll send some stimulating pics so you don't feel left out 😉

Now, everyone else: I need speakers that my computer AND ps2 will hook up to. Might it be easier just to use a connector or something??

Yeah, I think I'll have to get something like that and just use adapters. Thanks for the find though!

bunkers' cable chioces were right on if you're buying PC speakers with no extra input. These two cables will let you plug in both systems at the same time.

You might also want an extension cable if your PS2 isn't really close to the PC.
