People people! We can talk about ass all we want AFTER someone tells me what kind of input on the speakers (or sub) hooks up to the RCA adapter!

The only ones I've seen so far have slots on the sub to plug the other speakers in to...only output, no input.

CrazyGAL. I suggest just purchasing an entire home theatre system. I don't remember ANY speaker system with RCA inputs. You could always go to Radioshack and do that shiet yourself with some speaker knowledge.

Bleeb, I am not going to spend that kind of money for a $5 adapter and $50 speakers. I just want to know what the adapter plugs in to on the speakers, since I'll need to get speakers with those inputs.

I have never seen PC speakers with an input. It can be jerry-rigged though.

Plug the speakers into the single end of this and one of the other end into your soundcard
Plug the playstation rca cables into this and the above splitter

Well if I used them for the MAME games I normally play I'm sure they'd work just fine. But I might want to use it as a jukebox type thing as well.

But if I played some mp3's on them, would they put out enough sound and bass to be pleasureable??

Logitech Z-340's (<$50) with an 1/8" stereo jack to RCA adaptor (~$5 at any Radio Shack). If you want to output both to PC and RCA at the same time, you can add a simple Y splitter (on the stereo jack side) for another ~$5.

OMG HI2U!

If you don't mind refurbished items, these speakers have a nice low end. They're the best sounding reasonably priced 2.1 PC speakers I've heard.

I'd prefer them vs. the Altec Lansings although I generally like Altec speakers too. Either set of speakers could be made to work with the PC and the PS2 with a couple of adapters.

bunkers' cable chioces were right on if you're buying PC speakers with no extra input. These two cables will let you plug in both systems at the same time.

You might also want an extension cable if your PS2 isn't really close to the PC.
